BOYS GOLF
The South Range boys golf team hosted an invitational tournament at the Youngstown Country Club on Wednesday. Tyler Guerrieri from Cardinal Mooney led all golfers with a score of 73. Guerrieri's score helped lead Mooney (Mason McClure 79, Michael Kravec 85, Andrew Bushey 93, Christian Stamp 100) to first overall as a team with a score of 330. Canfield Black placed second, led by Danny Chaplow with a 74 and Columbiana took third place with an 80 from Trenton Hall. 19 teams competed in total. The top scorers from each team outside of the top three include: Andrew Wludgya 76 (Pymatuning Valley), Ben Warner 79 (Marlington), Cody Daivdson 81 (Brookfield), Justin Keating 82 (Howland), Joey Wollet 82 (Fitch), Nicholas Niemi 82 (Warren JFK), Camden Smith 83 (Massillon Washington), Aiden Romine 84 (Western Reserve), Zander Rowlett 84 (Canfield Red), Chase Zelesnak 85 (Boardman), Mark Aey 85 (South Range), Dean Herriman 86 (Ursuline), Jaymes Smith 89 (Alliance), Tristan Taylor 89 (Girard), Karson Fuson 91 (West Branch), Cooper Ensley 93 (Springfield).
BOYS SOCCER
Warren JFK 5, Medina Christian Academy 2 -- Jayden Santiago led the Eagles with two goals as Kennedy improved to 3-0 on the season. Dom LaFuria, Lyric Shields and Dimitrios Hazinakis each scored one goal each.
GIRLS SOCCER
Bristol 8, Pymatuning Valley 1 -- Myah Shipman scored three goals and assisted on two more as Bristol put together a dominant performance. Deserae Raymond added two goals and two assists and Brooke Perris found the net twice for the Panthers. Indie'ona Jackson also scored for Bristol. J. Dismukes scored the lone goal for Pymatuning Valley.
VOLLEYBALL
Maplewood 3, Mathews 0 -- Aleesia Woomer led Maplewood in a sweep, totaling 19 assists, two kills and two aces. Aliah Brumit added 10 digs and nine kills, while Ava Calvert had 12 digs and Addison marker had six kills for the Rockets.
Columbiana 3, Southern 0 -- Columbiana (2-0) was led by Eva Waller with 29 assists, 14 points with three aces, three kills and two digs. Addisyn Dangler added eight kills for the Clippers, along with four digs, three blocks and two points. Landry Smith added seven points with two aces and seven kills.
Campbell 3, Waterloo 0 -- Jada Smith had 12 kills and eight digs, contributing on offense and defense to lead Campbell to a sweep. Daja Will added 17 assists and Elysia Rudolphi had nine digs and seven aces for the Devils.
Bloomfield 3, Leetonia 0 -- Aniyla Doll had 10 service points with five aces to lead Bloomfield. Dellanie Murphy added 10 points and Peyton Koon had 10 kills and two blocks. Hailey Ishman also contributed with 18 assists and 11 digs.
South Range 3, Jefferson 0 -- Lily Weaver had 16 kills and eight digs for South Range (4-0). Parker Zwingler added 20 assists, seven digs and five aces, while Natalie Burnett notched 12 assists, four digs and one ace. Other Raiders making big contributions were Anna Toy (11 kills, 10 digs, six aces) and Haylie John (16 digs).
Lakeview 3, Poland 0 -- Lakeview (3-0) remained unbeaten to win the battle of the Bulldogs. Leah Toth led the way with nine points, eight kills and two aces. Cecelia DeToro added 24 assists and Cady Esker had eight kills for Lakeview. Izzy Greco led Poland (0-2) with eight kills and Brooklyn Kosa had 10 digs.
Crestview 3, Salem 1 -- Crestview won the final two sets after splitting the first two. Bella Ciapala and Sophia Noling led the Rebels with 17 and nine kills respectively. Kerrigan Miller added 39 digs and two aces and Karli Miller had 12 digs and seven aces for Crestview.
Cardinal Mooney 3, Warren G. Harding 0 -- Angela Bettura had 19 digs, seven kills and four digs for Mooney. Taylor Watts added 16 digs and Liv Scott chipped in with 14 digs and three aces. Kaelyn Radinski was also on the defensive for Mooney with seven digs while Gabby Berg had six kills and four aces for the Cardinals.
