SOFTBALL

DIVISION VI PLAYOFFS

LaBrae 19, Grand Valley 0 — Leah DeArmitt had four hits total, including a pair of home runs for LaBrae. DeArmitt totaled eight RBIs. Riley Rowe added four hits, including a home run and four RBIs. Mariah Jones also homered for the Vikings, totaling two hits and an RBI and Shelby Bragg also added two hits and an RBI.

DIVISION VII PLAYOFFS

Cuyahoga Heights 12, Bristol 4 — No stats were provided.

REGULAR SEASON

Louisville 6, Cardinal Mooney 1 — Bailee Griffith and Kaitlin Twinem had a hit and two RBIs each for Louisville. One of Twinem’s hits was a home run. Katelynn Miller struck out 11 in seven innings for the Leopards. Miller also had a hit and an RBI. Lexi McKinstry struck out nine for Mooney.

Howland 14, Hubbard 7 — Maya Kubancsek drove in six runs for Howland, totaling two hits, including a home run. Kubancsek also struck out five for the Tigers. Makenna Perry struck out six in relief. Madison Schmitz and Ella Newbrough combined for six hits and three RBIs for the Tigers. Olivia Lambert also got in on the action with two hits and two RBIs. Layla Songer had three hits and an RBI, including a solo home run for Hubbard.

Brookfield 14, Mineral Ridge 9 — Elaina Boyce had three hits, including a home run and a double and drove in five runs for Brookfield. Cassi Samios also homered and totaled two hits and an RBI. Madison Obermiyer and Luciana Kolat also had a pair of hits each and drove in three runs combined. Kelcee Dye homered for Mineral Ridge, driving in two runs. Kourtni Kominski led the Rams with two hits and three RBIs.

Girard 7, Cardinal 4 — Chloe Plant struck out six in five innings to get the win for Girard. Gabby Doran led the offense, driving in five runs on a pair of doubles. Brooklyn Broll added two hits and an RBI for the Indians.

Austintown Fitch 25, Warren G. Harding 1 — The Fitch (21-0) lit up the scoreboard once again, led by Seneca Coates with two doubles and an RBI. The win gave the Falcons the AAC conference championship. Annabel Mikesel added two hits and two RBIs and Alyssa Rodgers and Miauna Jorge had two hits and an RBI. Mila Hamley had six strikeouts in just two innings for the Falcons.

BASEBALL

LaBrae 10, Brookfield 0 — Colton Hall had three hits and drove in two runs to lead LaBrae. Austin Rowe struck out six in three innings and had a pair of hits and RBIs for the Vikings. Logan Brunstetter also had two hits and two RBIs and Jacob Simpson had two hits and an RBI.

Poland 5, Hubbard 3 — Luke Lockeic hammered a grand slam to lead the Poland offense. Kelley Memo added a hit and an RBI and Grady Pitzulo had six strikeouts for the Bulldogs. Logan Balla led Hubbard with two hits and an RBI.

Newton Falls 3, Crestview 2 — Leland Vargo had 14 strikeouts and three hits on offense to lead Newton Falls. The Tigers scored the go ahead run in the top of the 7th inning. Zayne Shelton added two hits and Hunter Persin and Wyatt Wheeler each had an RBI. E. Cope and I. Unkefer had two hits each for Crestview.

Canfield 4, West Branch 3 — Logan Patellis and Anthony Groner led Canfield with two hits each. Groner also started at pitcher and struck out seven. Joey Gabriel struck out five in three relief innings. Gabriel added a hit and an RBI and Ryan Weibling also drove in a run for the Cardinals.

Jackson-Milton 2, Springfield 1 — Walker Wolf had a two RBI single in the top of the 7th inning to give Jackson-Milton the win. Wolf had two hits in total. Jackson Enslet struck out 11 in a complete game effort for Springfield. Jaxon Minetti led the Tigers with two hits.

Garrettsville Garfield 14, Liberty 1 — J. Cardinal led Garfield with two hits and two RBIs. H. Kissell, L. Workman and B. Bogucki had a hit and an RBI each for the G-Men.
