DIVISION V PLAYOFFS
Poland 15, Southern 3 – Ali Blinsky had 11 strikeouts in four innings to lead Poland. Blinsky also drove in three runs with a hit on offense. Cassie Blanch had two hits, including a home run and three RBIs. Leana Boccieri added a hit and three RBIs and Avery Jakubovic had a hit and two RBIs for the Bulldogs. Realea Carosiello had two hits, including a triple for Southern.
Girard 7, Northwestern 6 – Girard trailed heading into their final at bat, but scored two runs in the bottom of the 7th inning to secure a walk off win. Brooklyn Broll drove in the winning run. Caylee Wilkes had two hits and two RBIs and Kyra Bell belted a home run for the Indians. Chloe Plant added a hit and two RBIs and struck out four for Girard.
DIVISION VI PLAYOFFS
Columbia Station 4, Brookfield 2 – Alina Jones struck out 12 in a complete game for Columbia. Grace Anderson doubled and drove in two runs. Elaina Boyce and Grace Teal had a hit and an RBI each for Brookfield.
DIVISION VII PLAYOFFS
Badger 13, Open Door Christian 1 – No stats were provided.
BASEBALL
LaBrae 9, Newton Falls 8, 8 Innings – Eric Reibold and Lucas Glaser had two hits and an RBI each for LaBrae. Jonathan Kincade has three hits for the Vikings and drove in two runs. Hunter Persin had three hits and an RBI to lead Newton Falls.
Warren JFK 10, Crestview 3 – Lucas Mealy struck out seven and had a pair of hits for JFK. Lucas Morrison added two hits and three RBIs for the Eagles. Jacob Liber added two hits and an RBI. For Crestview, Snyder had a hit and two RBIs and Booth had a hit and an RBI.
Mathews 5, Heartland Christian 2 – Kam Kester led Mathews with four hits. Jimmy Pegg added a pair of hits for the Mustangs. P. Bender had a double and drove in both Heartland Christian runs.
Canton Central Catholic 10, Cardinal Mooney 9 – McCune and Bourquin had two hits and two RBIs each for Central Catholic. Ben Oddis and Ford Stacy had three hits and two RBIs each to lead Mooney. Kaden Reese and Johnny Brenner added a hit and two RBIs each for the Cardinals.
Struthers 7, Lowellville 3 – Anthony Pastella had a hit and an RBI for Struthers, along with four stolen bases. AJ Boehkle and Tyler Tuscano had two hits each for Lowellville.
BOYS VOLLEYBALL
Howland 3, Walsh Jesuit 0 – Howland won in a sweep in the regional qualifying round. Wesley Fee had 19 kills and two blocks for the Tigers. Evan Neely added 34 assists and Freddie Rivera had 20 digs and 16 points.
