BASEBALL

Struthers 3, South Range 1 — Struthers scored all three of their runs in the bottom of the fifth inning. Eddie Bradley led the inning off with an infield hit. Alex Kriebel drove Bradley home for the first run of the game. Kriebel would then steal second and Anthony Torreance delivered an RBI single to bring Kriebel home. Jordan Becker led Struthers with seven strikeouts, with the final strikeout being the 100th of his career. For South Range, Julian Tranovich had three hits and nine strikeouts.

Warren JFK 10, Mogadore 3 — Trevin Rinck had a double and single and drove in two runs for JFK. Landon Snyder and Andrew LaPolla had a hit and two RBIs each. LaPolla doubled and struck out 10 in six innings pitched. Lucas Mealy also had a pair of hits for the Eagles. Jake Hopkins had a hit and RBI for Mogadore and Maddox Smith had two hits.

Girard 4, Poland 1 — Jaden Royal had three hits and an RBI to lead Girard. Camron Herrick had an excellent outing for the Indians, striking out 11 batters in a complete game effort. Joey Alejars added three hits and Bobby Levonyak doubled and drove in two runs. Joe Zuccaro struck out six in six innings and had a hit and RBI for Poland. Zack Marantis added three hits for the Bulldogs.

LaBrae 19, Liberty 1 — Easton Armstrong had three of LaBrae’s 14 hits and drove in three runs. Logan Brunstetter added a pair of hits, including a triple and two RBIs. Colton Hall also had two hits and an RBI and Eric Reibold hit a home run for the Vikings. Jacob Simpson also got on the board with a hit and RBI. Blake Myers had a hit and Luke Bates drove in a run for Liberty.

Garrettsville Garfield 9, Newton Falls 6 — B. Bogucki had three hits and an RBI for Garfield. C. Norton added a pair of hits and an RBI for the G-Men. Georgie Phillips had three hits and a pair of RBIs to lead Newton Falls. Zayne Shelton added three hits for the Tigers and LeLand Vargo had two.

Heartland Christian 14, Bristol 5 — Jack Morgan and Jacob Goehring had two hits and two RBIs each for Heartland Christian. Hudson Miller added two hits of his own, along with three RBIs and three strikeouts in relief at pitcher. Brady Desantis also drove in two runs with a hit for the Lions. Ethan Kimak had three hits and an RBI for Bristol. Jonas Miller added two hits and three RBIs and Christian Van Ness had a hit and RBI for the Panthers.

Howland 14, Warren G. Harding 0 — Perry drove in four runs and had two hits to lead Howland. A 10 run third inning broke the game open for the Tigers. Mock also had two hits for the Tigers. Adams and Johnson had a hit each for Harding.

Southeast 17, Brookfield 6 — Muccino had three hits and two RBIs for Southeast and struck out six on the bump. Wood added three hits and drove in four runs. Massrock struck out six and had a pair of hits and RBIs for the Pirates. Bray Coleman had two hits and an RBI for Brookfield. Devin Reardon added a hit and RBI and Braydon DeMaria added a hit and two RBIs for the Warriors.

Austintown Fitch 10, Canfield 3 — Brady Stovall and Reggie Danko had a hit and drove in two runs each for Fitch. Cooper Jobe and Greg Faunda had a hit and RBI each and Gavin Loomis drove in two runs for the Falcons. Anthony Groner struck out 11 for Canfield and had a hit and two RBIs. Logan Patellis added two hits for the Cardinals.

Springfield 3, Mineral Ridge 1 — Jaxon Minetti struck out six and hit a double to lead Springfield. Jackson Ensley drove in a run and Noah Troggio stole three bases. Jackson Geddes had two hits for Mineral Ridge.

Badger 8, Leetonia 7 — Badger trailed 7-5 entering the bottom of the 7th inning, but walked it off for the win. Lewis Flowers had three hits, including a home run and an RBI for the Braves. Flowers also struck out four over the final 2.2 innings. Byren Wimsett had a pair of hits and three RBIs and Jack Harnett had three hits. Chase Bondi had two hits and an RBI for Leetonia. Jason King added a hit and RBI and struck out five for the Bears.

MONDAY

South Range 9, Struthers 2 — Gavin Hiscox had three hits and drove in three runs for South Range. Dane Tiger added four RBIs with a pair of base hits for the Raiders. Brennen Klasovsky got it done on both sides of the plate for South Range, driving in two runs with a hit and striking out 10 on the bump in six innings pitched. Drew Chizmar had a hit and RBI for Struthers.

SOFTBALL

Howland 23, Warren Harding 1 — In a dominant all around performance by Howland, Makenna Perry led the way with a home run and a pair of doubles, driving in five runs for the Tigers. Perry was also the starting pitcher, striking out nine in three innings. Madison Schmitz added three hits and drove in three runs for the Tigers. Michelina Wayt drove in three runs with a hit and Maya Kubancsek had a hit and RBI and got one strike out while pitching in relief. Azarriah Phillips had a triple and single for Harding and Alyssa Frost had a hit and RBI.

Cardinal Mooney 7, Massillon 4 — After trailing 4-1 in the first inning, Mooney battled back to score three runs in the fourth and seventh innings to secure a win. Audrina Jablonski had two hits and two RBIs and Taylor Watts added two hits for the Cardinals. Lexi McKinstry hit a home run and struck out five over the final 3.2 innings to get the win at pitcher.

Columbiana 13, Lisbon 0 — Ella Eisenbraun had two hits and an RBI to lead Columbiana (9-3). Alexis Sperling added three hits and two RBIs for the Clippers. Callahan Ward added two hits and an RBI and Addison Marshall, Landry Smith, Natalie Barrow and Josie Hepler had a hit and RBI each.

Southeast 11, Brookfield 7 — Lylia Lavigna had four hits, including a pair of doubles and drove in three runs for Southeast. Morgan Muncy added three hits and an RBI and Bella Mowery had two hits and two RBIs. Savannah Powell also had two hits and an RBI for the Pirates, while Liv Bragg struck out seven. For Brookfield, Luciana Kolat and Mariah Norris had three hits each. Cassi Samios and Madison Obermiyer added two hits and two RBIs each for the Warriors.

South Range 10, Poland 0 — A. Aey had two home runs and drove in four runs for South Range. K. Brogan added four hits and two RBIs and A. Wardle had a hit and two RBIs for the Raiders. Leanna Boccieri had three hits to lead Poland.

Chalker 7, Windham 0 — Tatum Hudak struck out 16 batters while allowing just two hits for Chalker. Hudak added a hit and RBI on offense. Riley Ashcraft had three hits and an RBI for the Wildcats. Katelyn Cook homered and doubled, driving in a pair of runs. Aubree Grimm also homered, totaling two hits and two RBIs. Alaynah Cox also had a hit and RBI for Chalker.

Mathews 9, Badger 8 — Liz Rowan led the Mustangs with a home run, a double and three RBIs. Sara Geilhard added three hits, including a double, and Rilee Paddock had two doubles, a single, two RBIs and three runs scored. Molly Woodall was the winning pitcher.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL

Howland 3, Mayfield 1 — Howland needed four matches to improve to 12-3. Nick Caesar led the Tigers with 17 points and two aces, 21 digs, 10 kills and four blocks. Carter Jones added 18 digs and 11 kills. Evan Neely had 24 assists and Wesley fee had nine points with five aces.
