High school scoreboard – April 2, 2026

SOFTBALL

Lakeview 8, Winfield (W.Va.) 5 — Kalyssa Werner and Isabella Isenberg powered the Lakeview offense with three hits each. Werner added two RBI’s. Mackenzie Stowe added a home run and three RBI’s. Annaliese DeJulio also came up big for the Bulldogs with two hits, two RBI’s and two runs scored.

Lakeview 6, James Madison (Va.) 5, 8 innings — Mackenzie Stowe hit a walk off single in the bottom of the 8th inning to secure a Lakeview win. Stowe drove in three runs in total. Rylee Barnot led the offense with three hits and an RBI. Isabella Isenberg was the winning pitcher, striking out four in a complete game outing.

Columbiana 11, Warren G. Harding 1 — Alexis Sperling had a triple and a single, driving in three runs for Columbiana. Kyla Hogan and Landry Smith added two hits and an RBI each for the Clippers. Ella Eisenbraun struck out eight batters in four innings.

Girard 8, Mineral Ridge 7 — Girard did most of their damage in the second inning, where they scored five runs. The Indians offense was led by Gianna Saxon with three hits and five RBI’s, including a home run and a double. Caylee Wilkes and Chloe Plant had two hits each. Plant was also the starting pitcher, striking out six in a complete game effort. Kelcee Dye paced the Mineral Ridge offense with two hits and four RBI’s, including a home run. Alyssa Ylonen added two hits and three RBI’s for the Rams as well as nine strikeouts over 5.2 relief innings.

Badger 16, Bristol 1 — No stats were provided.

Champion 14, West Branch 4 — Addie McIntosh led Champion (2-1) with 13 strikeouts to pick up her second win of the season as a starting pitcher. She also hit a home run on offense. Taylor Rouan and Maddie Sylvester had three hits each for the Flashes. McIntosh, Sami Munroe, Jonna Strock and Ava Sylvester had two hits each. Munroe drove in three runs while McIntosh and Strock had two RBI’s each.

Niles 11, East 1 — Freshman Mia Myers drove in four of the Red Dragons’ 11 runs in a blowout win against the Golden Bears. For the game, Myers recorded four hits, including two doubles and one home run, and three runs. Larkin Stanford and Lydiah Taylor each added two hits, and freshman pitcher Julie Burke dominated in the circle, striking out 16 batters and allowing only one hit.

BASEBALL

Badger 7, Bristol 3 — Badger trailed 3-1 before scoring three runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to take the game over. Jack Harnett led the offense with a double and three RBI’s. Lewis Flowers and Michael Waybright added a hit and RBI each for the Braves.

Warren G. Harding 8, Ashtabula Lakeside 1 — Mikel Williams and Doug Pleacher drove in two runs each for Harding. Jaron Edmonds had a double for the Raiders and Elias Johnson was the winning pitcher with six strikeouts.

Woodson (Va.) 19, Lakeview 5 — Brendan Orr was dominant for Woodson, totaling a home run and a double and driving in six runs. Ian Sawtelle also had a big game with two hits and three RBI’s. For Lakeview, Blake Swinning had a double and an RBI and Eli Gough had two hits and an RBI. Isaiah Lantz and Nicolas Aho also drove in a run each for the Bulldogs.

Howland 3, Warren G. Harding 0 — Howland (7-3) won in straight sets 25-11, 25-18 and 25-20. Carter Jones led with 11 service points and six kills for the Tigers. Philip Rullo added eight kills and eight digs for the Tigers. Evan Neely added 13 assists and Wesley Fee had 10 digs and four aces.
