BASEBALL

Niles 13, East 0 – Brixton Gilmour led Niles with three hits, driving in a pair of runs. Brennen Hidge drove in three runs on a pair of hits for the Dragons. Vincent Dennis and Brady Court had two hits and an RBI each, as Niles totaled 12 hits as a team. Dennis also struck out six as the starting pitcher.

Louisville 5, Howland 4 – Caden Kortis delivered a walk off hit to give Louisville the win. Howland trailed 4-0 in the first inning but battled back to tie it. Brayden Kovarik and Bode Biggin had a hit each for Howland. Elliot Gebhardt drove in three runs for the Tigers.

SOFTBALL

Niles 7, East Palestine 5 – Julie Burke struck out 12 for Niles, leading Niles in a game where they trailed 5-0. Burke also had three stolen bases and a hit. Airie Jones drove in two runs with a double and Caroline Cornell also had a hit and two RBI’s. Alivia Magness struck out eight for East Palestine.

BOYS VOLLYBALL

Howland 3, Kenton 0 – Howland (11-3) picked up another victory in straight sets 25-22, 25-7, and 25-23. Carter Joned led the Tigers with 14 points, right kills and eight digs. Evan Neely added 19 assists and Wesley Fee totaled 10 kills and two blocks. Freddie Rivera was also a big contributor with 18 digs and seven points.
