BASEBALL

Mineral Ridge 8, Springfield 0 – Preston Kline had another impressive outing for Mineral Ridge, throwing a no-hitter with 10 strikeouts. Kline added a hit on offense. Xavier Klamer led the offense with two doubles and a single, driving in three runs. Ethan Vestorsky added two hits and three RBIs for the Rams and Andrew Gillie had two hits and an RBI.

Warren JFK 15, Mogadore 2 – Lucas Mealy and Andrew LaPolla had three hits each for JFK. Mealy had a triple, double and drove in four runs, while LaPolla had a home run, double and five RBIs. The Eagles trio of Lucas Morrison, Jacob Liber and Dylan Sforza had a pair of hits and drove on a run each.

LaBrae 14, Liberty 3 – Austin Rowe had a pair of doubles, totaling four hits, three RBIs and three runs scored. Rowe also got the start for the Vikings on the hill, striking out eight. Eric Reibold added to Rowe’s performance with three hits, including a home run and driving in five runs. Easton Armstrong added a pair of hits and an RBI. Lucianno DiNardo had two hits and an RBI for Liberty.

Canfield 8, Austintown Fitch 0 – Anthony Groner drove in three runs and homered to power the Canfield offense. Logan Patellis added a pair of hits and RBIs for the Cardinals. Ryan Weibling struck out six and had a hit and RBI. Gavin Loomis had two hits, including a double for Fitch.

Grand Valley 3, Mathews 0 – Ryan Began struck out seven across six innings for Grand Valley. Cooper Plizga had an RBI single in the bottom of the sixth to break the 0-0 tie.

Garrettsville Garfield 11, Newton Falls 8 – J. Cardinal led Garfield with two hits and three RBIs. B. Bogucki and B. Pesicek had two hits and an RBI each with Pesicek hitting a home run. Hunter Persin had three hits and two RBIs to lead Newton Falls offensively. LeLand Vargo added two hits and an RBI and Tyler Stinson had three hits for the Tigers.

SOFTBALL

Lakeview 15, Niles 0 – Mackenzie Stowe hammered a grand slam in the first inning to give Lakeview a quick 4-0 lead. Lakeview scored 10 runs in total in their first at bat. Isabella Isenberg led Lakeview with three hits, surpassing 100 for her career. She also drove in a run. Jianna Shaker and Ava Neilan drove in two runs each and the duo each had a hit for the Bulldogs. Shaker also struck out three and Sophia Neilan closed the game out for Lakeview, striking out seven in three innings.

Maplewood 10, Windham 0 – Addison Marker struck out eight of the nine batters she faced, allowing just one hit in three innings for Maplewood. Marker added an RBI and two hits including a double on offense. Lexi Yannucci replaced Marker in the circle and struck out four in two innings. She also had three hits and two RBI’s and Claire Urchek added a pair of hits and RBI’s including a triple for the Rockets.

LaBrae 18, Liberty 0 – Mariah Jones had three hits and three RBIs for LaBrae. Madison Johnson and Isabella Michael combine for four hits and seven RBIs with Michael driving in four runs. Leah DeArmitt also drove in three runs with a hit for the Vikings, while striking out seven.

LaBrae 11, Liberty 0 – Riley Rowe led LaBrae with two hits, two RBIs and eight strikeouts in the second half of the doubleheader. Morgan Thompson drove in a pair of runs and Makenzie Lichty had a double and two RBIs for the Vikings.

Austintown Fitch 5, Canfield 1 – Mila Hamley pitched a complete game for Fitch (13-0), striking out 12 and allowing just one run and three hits. Kaliana Ray led Fitch with three hits and two steals. Alyssa Rodgers had three hits and an RBI for the Falcons. Abby Toth homered and had a base hit while driving in a pair of runs and Kylie Folkwein had a hit and RBI. For Canfield, Jenna Triveri had two hits and Leah Figueroa had one.

Columbiana 16, Southern 0 – No Stats were provided.
