BASEBALL

Walsingham Academy VA 9, South Range 4 – Corey Overmeyer led Walsingham with two hits and an RBI. Chandler Howlett added a double and two RBI’s. L. Cleevely had two hits and an RBI to lead South Range. J. Tranoich and G. Hiscox added two hits each for the Raiders.

Niles 16, Warren G. Harding 15 – Niles scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to cap a come from behind win in a high scoring affair. Brennen Hodge had four hits to lead the Dragons. Brady Court added two hits and two RBI’s and Joseph Lehman added two hits and an RBI for the Dragons. Brixton Gilmour and Anthony Mymo drove in a pair of runs each and Mason Burns had a hit and an RBI for Niles. Jaron Edmonds led seven Harding hitters with a hit and two RBI’s. Elias Johnson, Doug Pleacher, Kwame Adams and Leon Stubbs had a hit and an RBI each for Harding.

Cardinal Mooney 9, Waynedale 2 – Taco Verocco led Mooney with two hits and three RBI’s. Andrew Bushed added a hit and two RBI’s as the Cardinals offense scattered seven hits. Kaden Reese, Ford Stacy, Johnny Brenner and Ben Oddis also had a hit each for Mooney.

SOFTBALL

Scott County KY 13, Poland 3 – Poland jumped out to a 2-0 lead, but Scott County had too much fire power offensively, answering with five runs in the bottom of the first to take a 5-2 lead. Leanna Bocierri led Poland with two hits and Avery Jakubovic had an RBI single.

Poland 15, Homer-Center PA 0 – Poland got the offense rolling in their second game of the day, recording 16 hits as a team. Ali Blinsky pitched a perfect five inning game, striking out five batters, while allowing no hits or walks. Blinsky was also part of the offensive showcase, totaling two hits and an RBI. Cassie Blanch led the offense with three hits, including two doubles and driving in five runs. Gianna Zuppo, Avery Jakubovic and Madison Medvec all hit triples. Medvec also added a double and two RBI’s and Zuppo had another hit and four RBI’s. Also getting in on the action was Kilaney Berendt with two hits and two RBI’s.

South Range 14, Louisa County VA 4 – A. Wardle had a home run and a double and drove in five runs for South Range. G. Spooner added three hits and an RBI and S. DeJesus had a pair of hits and an RBI for the Raiders. S. Brogan and K. Brogan also had a hit and RBI each.

THURSDAY

Maplewood 12, Bristol 3 – Addison Marker had two hits and an RBI, including a double for Maplewood. Marker also got the start at pitcher and struck out nine. Aleesia Woomer drove in three runs and had a hit to power the Rockets. Kaycee Hyde drove in two runs and Lexi Yannucci had a hit and RBI. Kyler Kennedy doubled and drove in all three Bristol runs.

North Myrtle Beach SC 2, South Range 1 8 innings – North Myrtle got a run home in the top of the eighth inning to secure a win in a game where runs came at a premium. A. Rupert and C. Crepage pitched four innings each for South Range. The pair had six and five strikeouts respectively, while allowing just three hits. S. Brogan and G. Spooner had two hits each, while K. Brogan had a hit and an RBI.
