STRUTHERS — A 14-bout, all-amateur international fight card presented by Paolone-n-Burnside Boxing is set for Jan. 31 at the Struthers Fieldhouse.

The ‘Fight Night International’ main event will pit 24 year-old Keith Burnside of Struthers Burnside A.C. against 21 year-old Josh Tumama, Sr. of Ireland in a 147-pound pairing. The co-main features Youngstown’s Levi Williams of Golden String Boxing as he welcomes Henry Murray of the United Kingdom in a 175-pound scrap.

“Along with my trainer, Teddy Gibson, many hours were spent trying to piece this card together,” trainer and promoter Keith Burnside Sr. said. “My partner, Donnie Paolone, Scott Murray of England and I have become good friends over the past several months as everyone involved spent countless hours making sure that this one-of-a-kind, international event would come together and take place right here in the Mahoning Valley.

“We made multiple trips to Philadelphia with the hope of recruiting some of their top fighters and had plenty of success. To top it off, Giuseppe Tommaso Agostino Intrieri, better known as Joey Eye, the well-known professional cut man turned actor, who has worked with world champions and earned parts in the Rocky and Creed movies, will be a special guest.”

The card also features a female bout with Boardman’s Carly Calderone of former world middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik’s Gym taking on Olivia White of Columbus in a 133-pound matchup.

In addition to the local fighters, boxers from Alliance, Cleveland, Ellwood City (Pa.), Erie (Pa.) and Philadelphia will take part.

The night gets underway with 14 year-old Armani Richardson of Burnside A.C making his ring debut as he takes on Angel Pizarro of Lorain (one fight) in a 138-pound battle.

The last all-domestic pairing will feature Erie’s Dezmond Montini taking on Ibrahim Musa of Columbus in a 185-pound slugfest.

The first of nine USA versus international hopefuls will send Madox Smith of Ellwood City against the UK’s Luke Powell in a 140-pound matchup, with Farris Mansour of Cleveland following when he takes on Alfie Barnet, also of the UK, in a 157-pound scrap.

Cleveland’s Jayden Thompson hits the bell when he goes up against Tayte Danield of the UK in a 125-pound hookup, Xavier Campbell will entertain Ireland’s Mason Byrne in a 120-pound pairing while Damon Darling, also of Cleveland, is set to take on Joen Daniel of the UK at 125 pounds.

The final four feature bouts will match Austin Gibson of Burnside A.C. and Luke Neale of the UK in a 142-pound match, Philadelphia’s Zakariyan Chapman takes on Phonix Kenny, Jr. of Ireland in a 146 scrap, Josiah Brown of Philadelphia goes up against Charles Murray at 170 pounds and Drew Mercer of Alliance looks to take down Jason Whelan of Ireland in a 165-pound bout.

“We are excited because each bout is evenly matched,” Burnside Sr. said. “Every fighter is set and cannot wait to get into the ring.”

General Admission tickets are $25 with tables of eight available for $300 and $400.

Doors open at 6 p.m. with the first fight hitting the bell at 7 p.m.
