BOYS BASKETBALL
Niles 64, Lakeview 55 — Cash Carey-Hardin took over the game, starting in the second quarter, as the Red Dragons (4-12) pulled off the upset. Carey-Hardin scored 10 of Niles’ 22 points in the second and 21 of his team-high 24 points in the final three quarters. Alex Doyle added 12 points to help balance the Red Dragon attack. Isaiah Lantz scored a game-high 39 points for the Bulldogs (5-9), but it wasn’t enough.
Howland 48, Warren G. Harding 42 — After only leading by one point at halftime, the Tigers outscored Harding 14-11 in the third to create a small lead. It was just enough to pick up the win over their Trumbull County rival. Luca Naples led the Tigers (9-6, 3-2 AAC) with 13 points, and Jackson Mickel added 10. Myles Miller led all scorers with 14 points for the Raiders, and Khi Blutcher finished with eight.
