BOYS BASKETBALL
Lisbon 72, Liberty 48 — Lisbon (2-1) had four players in double figures, led by Blaine Barnes with 21 points and six rebounds. AJ Ramgeet poured in 19 for Lisbon. The Blue Devils also got strong performances from Logan Sturgeon (14 points, eight rebounds) and Aiden Ramgeet with 13 points, six assists, and five steals. Liberty was led by Ramsey Hadi-Cox with 15 points and Jamari Delegawl with 12.
Lordstown 63, Bloomfield 20 — Gannon Force scored 11 points to lead Lordstown. Jace Click hit two 3-pointers en route to eight points and Colton Hickman also had eight points for the Blue Devils.
Western Reserve 59, Campbell 23 — Connor Cochran scored a game high 24 points to lead Western Reserve. The Blue Devils also got contributions from Josh Klasic (8 points) and Aiden Romine and Nico Paris with seven points each. Jawuan Johnson led Campbell with 16 points.
Warren JFK 72, Bristol 48 — Preston Geracitano scored 31 points, including seven 3’s for JFK. Andrew LaPolla added 17 for the Eagles. Logan Briggs had 21 points for Bristol.
Ursuline 58, Canton Central Catholic 49 — Jaylen Gunther led Ursuline (1-0) with a game high 27 points. Noah Bell added 14 for the Irish, with Eddie Barns adding 10 points. Central Catholic was led by Will Minor with 17 points.
Badger 79, Chalker 54 — Tyler McWilliams scored 13 of his game high 31 points in the first quarter to push Badger to a dominant victory. Also scoring in double figures for the Braves was Jack Harnett (14), Lewis Flowers (10), and Alton Winchek (10). Lucas Porterfield led Chalker with 16 points.
Austintown Fitch 72, Garrett Morgan 64 — E.J. Giles (26) and Junie Higgs (23) both eclipsed 20 points for Fitch. Higgs knocked down four 3’s. Brady Evans also reached double figures with 14 points. Isaiah Hickman had 41 points for Garrett Morgan, including five 3-pointers.
Hubbard 79, Newton Falls 75 — Jakob Hayes scored 30 points, including 16 in the first quarter for Hubbard. The Eagles also got a big game from Braydon Songer with 23 points. Dylan Bucher added 13 points. For Newton Falls, Phil Davis led the way with 24 points. Chase Clonch added 14 points and Drayson Moore had 12 for the Tigers.
Springfield 63, Lowellville 25 — Steve Morlan and Matt Wymer both set career highs with 17 points each to lead Springfield. Morland added seven rebounds and five blocks. Isaac Dyer added 12 points and seven assists for the Tigers. Lowellville was led by Jeff Dubos with six points.
West Branch 56, Minerva 50 — Jeremiah Thomas stuffed the stat sheet, totaling 23 points, four rebounds, three assists, and three steals for West Branch. Gavin Gregory added a double-double with 10 points and eleven rebounds. The Warriors also got 10 points and five rebounds from Kasen Weaver. Skyler Lab (14) and Rowan Hoffee (11) reached double figure scoring for Minerva.
Grand Valley 73, St. John 40 — Solomon Schultz scored 24 points and Carter Turk added 22 points, including four threes for Grand Valley.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
McDonald 34, Sebring 30 — Raegan Wynn scored 10 points to lead Sebring. Ava Coen and Mariah Vansteenberg added seven points each for the Trojans.
