BOYS BASKETBALL
Badger 74, Leetonia 54 –Badger started off the season with a 20 point victory, led by Tyler McWilliams with 31 points. McWilliams hit three 3-pointers and was 2 for 2 at the free throw line. The Braves also got double digit scoring efforts from Alton Winchek (15) and Jack Harnett (14). Leetonia was led by Ethan mathia with 19 points and Jason King with 12.
Louisville 44, West Branch 37 — Brandon Sanders had a game high 13 points to lead Louisville past West Branch. The Leopards also got nine points from Drake Wilson and eight each from Cayden Balcomb and Luke Boldon. West Branch was led by Gavin Gregory, totaling 10 points, eight rebounds, two assists, and one 3-pointer.
Western Reserve 66, Jackson Milton 41 — Connor Cochran (25) and Josh Klasic (22) both surpassed 20 points to lead Western Reserve to a dominant victory. Cochran scored 14 of his 25 points in the third quarter. Ethan Sokol scored 13 points, leading Jackson Milton.
South Range 47, Howland 45 — Nick Toy scored 18 points, with 10 of them coming in the second quarter, and South Range (1-0) pulled away in a game that was tied at 39 heading to the fourth quarter. The Raiders also got help from Tommy Titus, who poured in 16 points. Howland (1-1) battled back from a half time deficit led by Demetri Gentis with 16 points, including 10 in the third quarter, and Jackson Mickel with 10.
Columbiana 57, Mathews 49 — Senator Johnson led Columbiana with 18 points. Hunter Devanzo also reached double digits, adding 15 points for the Clippers. Mathews was led by Jake Penak’s 15 points, including four 3-pointers.

GIRLS BASKETBALL
Canfield 48, Norton 39 — After leading 22-17 at the half, Canfield (2-1) pulled away in the fourth quarter. The Cardinals were led by Carly Fleming with 21 points and Sofia Castronova with 11 points. Ceci Muckleroy pulled down seven rebounds while Lorieona Jannone dished six assists. Norton was led by Dakota Graham with 19 points.
