GIRLS BASKETBALL
Canfield 56, Ursuline 37 — Canfield picked up a road win after getting 14 points for Carly Fleming. Sophia Castronova added 11 points, and Lorieona Jannone scored 10 points for the Cardinals. Kennedy Carpenter scored a team-high 13 points for the Fighting Irish, and Carly Casey added nine points.
Salem 46, Minerva 26 — Salem only had a three-point lead at the end of the first quarter, but the Quakers (5-0) outscored Minerva 19-4 in the second quarter to take control, with Abby Knickerbocker scoring nine points during that stretch. Knickerbocker finished with a 14-point, 10-rebound double-double, and Maddy Andres had 13 points, five rebounds and three assists.
Archbishop Hoban 77, Howland 35 — Despite 22 points from Maya Kubancsek, the Tigers dropped a road contest at Hoban. Maria Chucksa added three points for Howland. The Knights got off to a hot start in the first half, leading Howland 49-19 at halftime, and never looked back. Three players scored in double figures for Hoban, led by N. Stevens with 17 points.
BOYS BASKETBALL
Lakeview 64, Badger 51 — Isaiah Lantz scored 21 points, including four made 3-pointers, to power the Lakeview attack. Asa Lantz also drilled three from beyond the arc to finish with 13 points, and Brandon Toot added 10 points for the Bulldogs. Alton Winchek was just as dynamic for the Braves, finishing with 23 points. Jack Harnett added 13 points for Badger.

Cardinal Mooney 58, Niles 51 — Cardinal Mooney jumped out to a 17-7 lead by the end of the first quarter and held off the Red Dragons down the stretch. Kingston Powell was the top scorer for the Cardinals with 19 points, and Grayson Dubos finished with 10 points. Cash Carey-Hardin was the Red Dragons’ leading scorer with 20 points. Alex Doyle added 14 points, and Izaiah Redd had 10 points.
