GIRLS BASKETBALL

Walsh Jesuit 47, Howland 41 – A strong second half helped Walsh Jesuit erase a 24-22 halftime deficit. Walsh was led by Kara Ezterak with 21 points. Mia Thomas led Howland with 13 points and Maya Kubancsek with 12.

Hubbard 47, Badger 35 – Layla Songer scored 17 points and pulled in four rebounds to lead Hubbard. Chloe Cicero added 11 for the Eagles and pulled down four rebounds. The Badger duo of Brinley Rice and Riley Thomas scored 10 points each.

Mineral Ridge 59, McDonald 47 – Sullivan Sandy scored 24 points to lead Mineral Ridge. Gianna Gilbert added 18 for the Rams.

Ursuline 50, Hilliard Davidson 35 – Maizy Green scored 16 points, including three 3-pointers to lead Ursuline. The Irish also got contributions from Kennedy Carpenter (9 points) and Mary Moy (8). Davidson was led by Sophie Onderak with 21 points.

Salem 48, Poland 36 – Abby Knickerbocker recorded a double double, totaling 22 points and 10 rebounds for Salem. Maddy Andres added eight points and pulled in 10 rebounds for the Quakers. Karlie Sampson was also key, adding six points and six assists. Poland was led by Briella Rowe’s 17 points.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Hubbard 65, Liberty 50 – Braydon Songer poured in a game high 26 points for Hubbard. Songer also knocked down three 3-pointers. Jakus Hayes also eclipsed 20 points, scoring 22 for the Eagles. Ramsey Hadi-Cox led the way for Liberty with 22 points. Adam Huynh added 13 for the Leopards.

Heartland Christian 77, Pittsburgh Christian Academy 23 – No stats were provided.
