Local players, coaches named to Northeast All-Inland District teams

With the high school football season coming to a close, the Northeast All-Inland District teams were decided. The teams were selected based on a meeting with representatives from newspapers across Northeast Ohio.
Girard quarterback AJ Pearson was the Division V Offensive Player of the Year, and Crestview quarterback Jake Noling earned the same award in Division VI. West Branch receiver Jeremiah Thomas (Division IV) and McDonald quarterback Kyle Puckett (Division VII) earned Co-Offensive Players of the Year in their respective divisions.
West Branch coach Tim Cooper (Division IV) earned Coach of the Year. Canfield head coach Joe Ignazio (Division III), Cardinal Mooney coach Frank Colaprete (Division V) and McDonald coach Dan Williams (Division VII) all earned Co-Coach of the Year honors.
The local honorees are below, broken down by division in descending order.
DIVISION II
Austintown Fitch was well represented, finishing with seven representatives on the first and second teams.
Running back Deon’Dray Richard was on the first team, along with offensive lineman Booker Newberry, defensive lineman Dammar Rogers and linebacker Marky Fitzgerald.
On the second team, Fitch had wide receiver Brady Evans, running back Junie Higgs and defensive back Isaiah Porch. Offensive lineman Noah Bolen, quarterback Colin Kalaher and linebacker Dylan Krohn got honorable mention.
Warren G. Harding had a couple players on the first team. Zayvion Smith got first-team offensive line honors, and Matt Richardson was on the first team as a defensive back.
Tyler Smith got second team honors at linebacker.
Boardman had a pair of second-teamers on offense in quarterback Vince Butto and offensive lineman Cameron Ganser. Spartan running back Ryan Smith and defensive back Ray Vodhandel both got honorable mention.
DIVISION III
Canfield had 10 players on the two teams.
Quarterback Enzo Cocca, offensive lineman D.J. Erickson, kicker Luke Goodrich, defensive lineman Landon Shina, linebacker Luke Hash and defensive back Joey Pannunzio all got on the first team.
The second-team Cardinals were defensive back Bryce Roberts, linebacker Gabe Miller and offensive linemen Daniel Seaman and Rocco Cocca.
A handful of East players also made it.
Offensive lineman Jah’Keem Ossenfort and defensive back Keylin Warren were on the first team. The second team featured offensive lineman Drelyn Tubbs and linebackers Dyvonn Perry and Zywaun Perkins, while quarterback Jaden Erving got honorable mention.
Chaney also had a few names make the list. Tizzel White was a first-team defensive back, and receiver Allen Hill Jr., running back Dewayne Thompson Jr. and defensive back Allex Hill all made second team.
Cowboy quarterback Asuante Mickel received honorable mention.
Howland got defensive back Carter Nielen on the second team, and linebacker Frank Hoso received honorable mention.
DIVISION IV
West Branch had a number of players besides Thomas make the list.
Offensive lineman Zach Coffee, quarterback Grady Hirst and defensive lineman Gavin Gregory joined Thomas on the first team.
Defensive lineman Gavin Hang and linebacker Lukas Black were on the second team. Grady Close and Clayton Day both got honorable mention.
Hubbard also had its fair share of representatives as well.
Quarterback Braydon Songer, defensive lineman Antonio Burkley and defensive back Mike Hazimihalis all got first team.
For the second team, wide receiver Dylan Bucher, offensive lineman Jayden Smith and defensive lineman Bobby Thompson made the cut. Additionally, Anthony Clark and Rome Odem were named honorable mention.
Salem had offensive lineman Matthew Austin and quarterback Cletis Monroy on the first team.
Quaker running back Brandon Kana and defensive back Will Harmon were named to the second team. Bairon Exline and Hunter Marcum both made honorable mention.
Struthers got receiver Anthony Pastella on the first team, and offensive lineman Braylon Myers and defensive lineman CJ Harmon got honorable mention.
For Niles, linebacker Vinny Broll was named to the first team, and Austin Reynolds received honorable mention.
DIVISION V
Division V had the most playoff talent of all the local teams in the area, and it showed in the all-district teams.
In addition to Pearson, freshman receiver Mario Lipinski, offensive lineman Dylan Latell, defensive lineman Allen Hess-Cardona and defensive back Braxton Sloan all were named to the first team for Girard.
The Indians also had running back Sammy Scott and defensive back Joey Alejars on the second team.
Girard’s opponent on Friday, Cardinal Mooney, had first-team representation from offensive lineman Dewey Heard, running back Ike Lake, defensive lineman Kejuan Dean and linebacker Rocco Zabel. Mooney tight end John Brenner also made the first team, but since there is no tight end position on all-district, he was placed on the offensive line.
The Cardinals also had defensive lineman Dom Letlow and punter Brady Desmond on the second team.
Vito Komara, Poland’s do-it-all player, led the Bulldogs on the first team. Joining him was offensive linemen Greyson Shaffer and Jon Tonya and defensive lineman Kolt Arnold.
Poland’s second-teamers were running back Chase Jones, quarterback David Xipolitas and linebacker Angelo Angelilli. JJ Faunda and Cameron Hackstedde received honorable mention.
Garfield had three named to the first team, with receiver Brandyn Bogucki, running back Ryder Cain and linebacker Logan Sell getting the nod.
G-Men defensive lineman Jack Timmons and defensive back Collin McGranahan both got second-team recognition, and Devin Bates received honorable mention.
South Range had linebacker Drew Starkey and defensive backs Gavin Hiscox and Tommy Titus on the first team.
Raiders running back Jason Vorshak, quarterback Nick Toy and linebacker Daniel Landis all landed on the second team, and Will Gehring got honorable mention.
Liberty also had three first-team honorees. Quarterback Dawaun Moody, running back Dyionn Tutwiler and defensive lineman Davon Perry all got top-team honors.
Champion workhorse running back Caden Rowland got second team, and quarterback Zack Morris got honorable mention.
Lakeview offensive lineman Gunner Derr received honorable mention.
DIVISION VI
Crestview had four make it on the first team.
The top Rebels were offensive lineman Shane Bacon, linebacker Mikey Proctor, defensive back Caidyn McElhaney and Noling.
Crestview’s second-team honorees were linebacker Josh Smith and defensive lineman Dylan Stoffer. Its honorable mention recipients were Brody Hoon and Kyle Booth.
Offensive lineman Chase Moore made the first team for Mineral Ridge. Fellow Rams offensive lineman Ryan Aleshire, running back Preston Holbrook and linebacker Derrick Rakich all made second team.
Springfield got first-teamers in nose guard Evan Mercile and linebacker Dom Jones. The Tigers on the second team were running back Alex Caldwell, linebacker Marco Gentile and defensive back Eli Wonner. The Tigers had Matt Wymer and Brayden Baird on honorable mention.
Columbiana offensive lineman Brayden Clancy and linebacker Danny Mangiarelli were on the first team. Jensen Nordquist and Hayes McCoy were listed as honorable mention.
LaBrae got a few on the teams. Offensive lineman Gage Hasler made the first team along with running back Easton Armstrong and defensive lineman Eric Reibold. The Vikings had second-team representation from offensive lineman Dan McLaughlin and running back Zach Freeman.
Brookfield got Rico Smith on the first team at running back. Warriors quarterback Blake Hammond made the second team, and Devin Reardon and Nathan Kashmer got honorable mention.
Valley Christian quarterback Deion Miller was the Eagles’ lone representative on the first team.
Newton Falls quarterback Chace Clonch got second-team honors, and Kaiden Prout got honorable mention.
Campbell’s Nate Hanni received honorable mention for his defensive efforts.
DIVISION VII
Puckett had some Blue Devil company on the only all-district team in Division VII.
McDonald go-to receiver Josh Krumpak, offensive lineman Amari Carayol, running backs Drew Zajack and Casey Miller and defensive back Jordan Perry received first-team honors. Jacob Bowser, Preston VanMeter, Quinn Schmidt, Brady Klockner and Dominic Sampson all made honorable mention.
Western Reserve had running back Timmy Serensky, linebacker Cole Dotson and receiver Nate Alexander on the first team. Alton Ramsey was an honorable mention recipient.
Warren JFK offensive lineman Carter DeJulia was back on the first team alongside quarterback LaMarcus Provitt, and running back Steven Thomas got honorable mention.
Jackson-Milton got first-teamers with linebacker DJ Osborne and defensive back Jack McDevitt.
East Palestine offensive lineman Ayvre Klingensmith made the top team. Zach Schnelle, Clark Rutledge, Tanner Morrow and Braydon Plum got honorable mention.
Lowellville’s Landen Tych made the first team as a defensive lineman. Receiver Nick LaRosa, quarterback Ricky Willrich and linebacker AJ Boehlke were placed on honorable mention.
Leetonia running back Ethan Mathia was a first-teamer, and Jaden Rivers received honorable mention.
Mathews running back Drew Spagnoletta also got a first-team nod.
