BOYS BASKETBALL
Campbell 100, Lowellville 67 — Friday’s matchup between the Red Devils and Rockets proved record-breaking as two from Campbell reached impressive milestones. Jared Colon paced Campbell with 40 points, sinking a new school record 12 three-pointers. Josue Rodriguez lent 21 points for Campbell as well and eclipsed the 1,000 point mark for his career.
LaBrae 75, Liberty 40 — The Vikings pummeled the Leopards thanks to an explosive 25-point first quarter. Derek Wilson pulled in a game-high 30 points, Owen Boone added another 11 points and Austin Rowe chipped in 10 for LaBrae. For Liberty, Evan Bates collected 11 points and Ramsey Hadi-Cox added 10 in the loss.
Girard 68, Struthers 45 — The Indians topped the Wildcats Friday night. Dom Tolone tallied 18 points for Girard, Dom Phillips added 13 and Nick Rafferty and Cam Herrick each contributed 10 points in the win. For Struthers, Tommy Cole, Tyler Cole and Micah Neider each recorded seven points in the loss.
Poland 73, Lakeview 48 — In the battle of the Bulldogs, the Poland offense exploded in the first quarter and stayed on top to beat Lakeview. Carmine Tukalo’s 24 points behind six three’s paced Poland while Oliver McCully added 19 in the win. For Lakeview, Trace Goyzueta tallied 20 points and Isaiah Lantz added 11 to lead the Bulldogs in the loss.
Newton Falls 61, Garfield 49 — The Tigers jumped out to an early lead and never looked back to top the G-Men. Landon McGregor led the Newton Falls offense with 22 points and Phil Davis lent 14 for the victors. In the loss, Preston Gedeon drilled five shots from beyond the arc on his way to a game-high 27 points for Garfield.
Fitch 60, Howland 40 — Despite faltering in the opening frame, the Falcons bounced back and ultimately claimed the Friday night contest over the Tigers. Marcel Finkley made a trio of triples on his way to a team-high 24 points and EJ Giles added 10 points. In the loss, Darren Douglas and Anthony Chieffo paced Howland with 10 points each.
Marlington 70, Salem 37 — The Dukes came out of the gates swinging, posting 21 points in the first quarter and 23 in the second to cruise to the big win over the Quakers. The tandem of Parker Woods and Cam Evanich shouldered leading scorer duties for Marlington with 19 points each with Woods drilling five three-pointers. Sam Yoder lent 10 points in the win as well. Cletis Monroy tallied 11 in the Salem loss.
Chalker 47, Lordstown 34 — In all but one quarter, the Wildcats outscored the Red Devils to claim the win. For Chalker, Pack led the way with 11 points and Chase Learn added 10 points. In the loss, Gannon Force led all scorers with 21 points for Lordstown.
United 45, Leetonia 43 — The Golden Eagles found themselves trailing heading into the final frame but clawed back to claim the one-basket victory over the Bears. Kadin Schonauer’s 21 points behind four baskets from the arc led United. In the loss, Dylan Johns also drilled four three’s on his way to 15 points.
Ursuline 70, East 33 — The Fighting Irish set the tone early with 28 points in the opening frame to crush the Golden Bears. Jaylen Gunther pulled in a game-high 26 points for Ursuline and Jace Riccardo and Noah Bell each added 13 points. In the loss, Tyris Davis led East with 11 points.
Harding 79, Boardman 46 — The Raiders cruised to the big win over the Spartans thanks in part to a dominant first half. Leading the way for Harding was Myles Miller with 21 points, Davion Herron with 16 points and Chaz Coleman with 12 points. For Boardman in the loss, Jerry Smith tallied 13 points and Kayden Mayhew lent 11.
Southeast 54, Brookfield 53 — The Warriors’ 17-point fourth quarter was too little too late as the Pirates claimed the nail-biter Friday night. Cohen Richardson paced Southeast with 17 points on three made triples. For Brookfield, Blake Hammond led all scorers with 22 points in the loss.
South Range 66, Hubbard 46 — The Raiders posted 22 points in the first quarter to set the tone in the dominant win over the Eagles. Graham Heikkinen drilled four shots from beyond the arc on his way to a game-high 22 points and Luke Rohan chipped in 14 for South Range. In the loss for Hubbard, Jacob Hayes paced Hubbard with 14 points.
Crestview 58, Champion 38 — The Rebels exploded for 39 points in the second half to cruise to a 20-point win over the Golden Flashes. The tandem of Tyler Savage and Jonathan Best led Crestview with 15 points each while Evan Neff lent 10 points. In the loss, Christian Williams and Braylen Braham each tallied 11 points for Champion.
Grand Valley 63, Badger 40 — The Mustangs bounced back from a loss earlier in the week with a Friday night win over the Braves. Carter Turk paced Grand Valley with 19 points behind four made three-pointers and Braden Hart added another 15 for the Mustangs. In the loss, Alton Winchek led Badger with 13 points behind a pair of triples.
Mineral Ridge 52, Waterloo 49 — Finding themselves down handedly heading into the fourth quarter, the Rams mounted a hefty comeback to top the Vikings. Chase Moore led the comeback win with 29 points for Mineral Ridge while Jordan Moore added 11 to lead the Rams. Waterloo statistics were not submitted.
Columbiana 70, Lisbon 51 — The Clippers trailed heading into the locker rooms at the half but came out of intermission firing on all cylinders to topple the Blue Devils. Cooper Brown tallied 22 points, Seth Struharik added 21 and Hunter Devanzo recorded 11 points to lead Columbiana in the win. For Lisbon, AJ Ramgeet recorded 20 points, Blaine Barnes tallied 12 and Tim Brandon lent 11 in the loss.
Carrollton 53, West Branch 42 — Carrollton picked up its fifth consecutive win Friday with the 11-point victory over West Branch. Jayven Johnson paced Carrollton with 13 points while Braylen Murphy added 12 and Andrew Birong lent 11 points. In the loss, Cooper Anderson led West Branch with 13 points.

Springfield 50, Sebring 13 — The Tigers’ win streak extended to eight games with a crushing win over the Trojans. Kristina Vecchione paced Springfield with 11 points and Kendall Maughn was right behind with 10 in the win. For Sebring, Reagan Wynn led with six points.
Howland 68, Maplewood 54 — The Tigers’ second and third quarter proved too much for the Rockets as Howland claimed the Friday night win. Mia Thomas led the Tigers with 23 points while Sophia Powell added 14 and Maya Kubancsek lent 11. Claire Urchek paced all scorers with 24 points for Maplewood, Aliah Brumit tallied 16 and Katie Wear chipped in 10 in the loss.
