GIRLS BASKETBALL

Crestview 61, Newton Falls 19 — The Rebels rolled over the Tigers Monday to earn their tenth straight win. In the loss, Logan Elliott and Madison Davis each led Newton Falls with four points. Crestview statistics were not submitted.

Hubbard 55, Struthers 37 — The Eagles dominated the Wildcats Monday night earning the win. Cara Green paced Hubbard with a game-high 19 points behind a trio of threes and Layla Songer chipped in 11 to level the leading scorers. For Struthers, Natalie Adams, Katelyn Kimble and Natalie Wolikow each recorded eight points to lead in the loss.

Kennedy 47, Girard 35 — A 20-point opening quarter set the tone for the Eagles in the win over the Indians. Gianna Pompelia went 10-for-11 from the charity stripe on her way to 20 points to lead Kennedy. For Girard, Aly Gassman led with 12 points.

East Palestine 31, Leetonia 16 — Jacklyn Ogle’s 19 points led the offensive charge for the Bulldog win over the Bears in a low-scoring affair. Alivia Magness chipped in another 12 to level the East Palestine leading scorers. In the loss, Breyle Merritt paced Leetonia with six points.

Sebring 37, Windham 21 — At Sebring, the Trojans picked up their fifth win of the season. Alli Hoschar was the game’s lone double-digit scorer with 10 points. Raegan Wynn added eight points to the Trojan attack, and Ava Coen scored seven. Makenna Jones led the Bombers with seven points.

Niles 45, Poland 35 — The Red Dragons clung to a one-point lead at halftime and later held the Bulldogs scoreless in the fourth quarter to claim the Monday night contest. Kherington Stanford exploded for 24 points for Niles and Ava Ferri added 10 more behind three triples to round out the Niles leading scorers. In the loss, Lucy Harrell led Poland with 15 points.

Ursuline 72, Mineral Ridge 60 — Despite trailing at intermission, the Fighting Irish pulled away from the Rams in the second half to claim the win. Ursuline’s Kam Hopkins paced Ursuline with 17 points, Carly Casey was right behind with 16 points, Kenyah Gill lent 13 and Kennedy Carpenter chipped in 14 to lead the Fighting Irish. In the loss, Ava Hulett earned the top spot with 30 points to lead all scorers and Sullivan Sandy added 15 for Mineral Ridge.

Garfield 55, Liberty 15 — At Liberty High School, Garfield’s Mandy Cardinal scored 22 points to lead all scorers. No further stats were reported.

LaBrae 64, Brookfield 27 — The Vikings jumped ahead early and remained on top to cruise to the win over the Warriors. Marissa Levensky led the way for LaBrae with 22 points, while the duo of Riley Rowe and Ally Magoulick added 10 points each. In the loss, Madisyn Fisher led Brookfield with nine points.

Pymatuning Valley 54, Badger 43 — A strong showing in the first half paved the way for the Lakers in the win over the Braves. Zoey Painter drilled five three-pointers to lead the Pymatuning Valley offense, while Sadie Paul tallied 11 as well. In the loss, Sophie Stanhope and Riley Thomas split leading scorer duties for Badger with 11 each, and Gabriella Miller added 10.

Maplewood 57, Mathews 19 — The Rockets improved to 15-1 with a dominant win Monday over the Mustangs. Leading Maplewood in the win was Aliah Brumit with 19 points and Katie Wear with 14 points. In the loss, Rilee Paddock paced Mathews with 12 points.
