Leading for LaBrae was Taylor Burns with eight aces, Ella Kuszmaul with 10 kills, Shelby Bradd added 12 assists, Riley Rowe had 11 assists, Khloe Sanderson had nine digs and Brielle Stout tallied two blocks.
Maplewood 3, Badger 2 — In a tight contest, the Rockets edged out the Braves in a complete match (23-25, 25-23, 20-25, 25-18, 15-12). In the win, Katie Wear had five aces, Sarah Varga added 17 kills, Aliah Brumit collected four blocks and 14 kills, Lauran Krieg added 30 assists and 26 digs, Alyvia Upshir collected 37 digs, Aleesia Woomer had 13 assists and Hope Conley tallied 19 digs.
Chalker 3, Lordstown 0 — The Wildcats toppled the Red Devils in straight sets (25-20, 25-13, 25-17). Leading for Chalker was Morgan Strock with seven kills, six digs and three aces, Colleen Castle with 17 digs and an ace, Kendra Wilkoski added four kills and 11 digs, Aubrey Kirkland tallied 15 assists, five digs and a kill and Kylee Iser had five kills and 12 digs.
South Range 3, Liberty 0 — The Raiders dominated the Leopards in straight sets (25-13, 25-10, 25-12). For South Range, Ella Crumbacher tallied 11 kills, three digs and an ace, Hayden Carey added 16 assists, four digs and two aces and Parker Zwingler added 11 assists and eight aces.
Crestview 3, Mineral Ridge 0 — The Rebels’ undefeated season continued after the clean sweep of the Rams (25-11, 25-17, 25-16). Leading for Crestview was Abbey Emch with 24 kills, Lainy Auer with 10 kills, 10 assists, three blocks and nine digs, Sophia Datillio added three blocks, Bailey Ash tallied six aces and Sophia Stewart collected 23 assists.
Struthers 3, East 0 — The Wildcats bested the Golden Bears in straight sets in a close match (29-27, 26-24, 25-15). Leading the charge for Struthers was Mya Neider with six aces, 15 points and 22 digs while Gianna Martin added 11 kills and six blocks, Natalie Burosky had 25 digs, Vivian Marker added six blocks, Katie Morris tallied 10 assists and Natalie Wolikow collected 13 assists.
Lakeview 3, McDonald 0 — The Bulldogs toppled the Blue Devils in straight sets (25-19, 25-16, 25-22) thanks to a strong performance by Molly Stuart who had 16 points, 14 kills, and 15 digs. Adding to the win was Mallory Mailach with five aces and 48 assists and Reagan Price with 17 kills and two blocks.
Canfield 3, Poland 0 — The Cardinals handedly got past the Bulldogs in straight sets (25-20, 25-15, 25-13). In the loss, Lucienne Hopps had three aces and 10 assists, Olivia Minehart added nine kills, Emerson Gomon had four blocks and Leanna Boccieri tallied 10 digs.
BOYS SOCCER
Mineral Ridge 3, Brookfield 1 — Brandon Komsa, Giana Fisher and Tyler Simpson each tallied a goal in the Rams’ win over the Warriors.
Newton Falls 6, Liberty 1 — A hat trick from Brady Lampman led the Tigers’ offensive onslaught in the win over the Leopards. Adding a goal each were Tyler Stinson, Carter Drake and Leland Vargo.
Poland 3, Lakeview 0 — Jacob Hayes, Colin McBride and Andreas Tsikouris each scored to propel Poland over Lakeview. Adding assists were Gabe Dearing and Michael Hostal.
COED SOCCER
Jackson-Milton 2, Waterloo 0 — Two goals in the second half was all the Blue Jays needed to blank the Vikings. Brock Piatt netted the two goals for Jackson-Milton.
GIRLS SOCCER
Howland 8, Poland 0 — Four goals from Madison Schmitz led the offensive charge for the Tigers over the Bulldogs. Grace Villwock scored twice and had an assist, Daniella Pagano and Elise Christy added goals in the shutout win. Lending assists were Ava Yannucci with two, Rylie Villwock with three and Sophia McFarland added another.
Niles 8, Girard 0 — Four goals and an assist from Kherington Stanford led the offensive attack for the Red Dragons in the shutout win over the Indians. Maddie Yost and Cali Rodgers each scored and had an assist, Natalia Tate and Jazmine Smith each scored as well while Grace Guarnieri lent an assist. Gianna Wagner tallied three saves in goal for Niles.
Brookfield 2, Newton Falls 1 — In a close match, the Warriors edged out the Tigers thanks to two goals from Mya Jumper. Brookfield goalie Timya Allen tallied 14 saves.
