GIRLS VOLLEYBALL
Girard 3, Mineral Ridge 0 — In a lopsided affair, the Indians were able to handedly best the Rams in straight sets (25-3, 25-13, 25-17). A host of Indians lent in the win, including Bailey Walters with 20 kills, Chloe Plant with 32 assists, Alexis Pieton with 10 points and three blocks, Fiona Allen with four aces, Kyra Bell with nine digs. Ava Hulett let Mineral Ridge with 12 kills and nine digs, Gianna Wilson had 10 digs and Sullivan Sandy lent 16 assists.
Badger 3, Maplewood 2 — In a close match, the Braves were able to pull out a win over the Rockets in five sets (19-25, 25-22, 22-25, 25-20, 15-10). Individual statistics for both teams were not submitted.
Columbiana 3, Mooney 1 — In four sets (21-25, 25-13, 25-19, 25-13), the Cardinals lost their second game of the season to the Clippers. For the victors, Ellie Jackson tallied 11 kills, 17 assists and 11 points, Ava Heinrich had 12 digs, Kelsey Cameron had 16 points, Danica Halas had 11 digs and Cameron Perkins had 18 assists and 11 digs. In the loss, Brinkley Bair had 13 kills and 15 digs, Kaelyn Radinsky lent 27 assists and 10 digs, Sam Rotunno had 16 digs and Sophia Rotunno had 15 digs.
Windham 3, Lordstown 0 — In straight sets (25-11, 25-12, 25-20), the Bombers were able to topple the Red Devils. Leading for Windham was Quinn Justham with 23 assists, 15 points and six aces. Adding in the win was Sara Guigni with 25 kills and four blocks and Sydnie Sweet with 13 digs. For Lordstown, Mia Giesey had five kills and three aces, Dani Lickwar had 10 digs and Alicia Ball had six assists.
Chalker 3, Bloomfield 0 — The Wildcats were able to get past the Cardinals in straight sets (25-23, 25-12, 25-18). In the loss, Dellanie Murphy had seven points and four aces, Nevaeh Doll had seven kills, Tessa Gwinn lent 12 assists and Sophia Shaffer netted two blocks and 16 digs. Chalker statistics were not submitted.
Lakeview 3, Boardman 1 — Despite a hearty win in the first frame, the Bulldogs were put to the test as the Spartans threatened each set (25-12, 23-25, 25-19, 25-23) but came away victorious. The Bulldogs were led by Mallory Mailach who led the team in service points with 16, eight aces and 47 assists. Adding to the win were Reagan Price with 21 kills and two blocks, and Molly Stuart with 19 digs and 14 kills. Addison Allen also had 16 digs. Boardman statistics were not submitted.
GIRLS SOCCER
Poland 5, Niles 3 — In a close contest, the Bulldogs were able to beat the Red Dragons behind offensive outputs by Sophia Generalovich with a hat trick and an assist, and Addie Demain with two goals. Kinsey Lisko added an assist for the victors. In goal, Poland keeper Lily McDonald had three saves. Niles statistics were not submitted.
West Branch 2, Minerva 0 –In the shutout win, Presley Egli was able to net two goals, one off of an Alinee Bacconi assist. In goal, Audrey Eaton tallied six saves for the Warriors.
COED SOCCER
Jackson-Milton 1, Crestview 0 — For the first time in school history, the Jays picked up a win in coed soccer over the Rebels. Scoring for Jackson-Milton was James Croyle.
BOYS SOCCER
Mineral Ridge 4, Waterloo 1
• Spencer Pal and Tyler Simpson both found the back of the net twice in the win for the Rams. Pal also lent an assist, alongside Steven Gutierrez and Brandom Komsa. Waterloo statistics were not submitted.
