Harvischak wins his 4th Warren Challenge bowling title
In the finals of the 44th Warren Challenge bowling tournament at Champion Lanes on Sunday, Robert Harvischak entered the eighth and final game trailing Seth Dunn by 80 pins. Harvischak strung the last six strikes together to roll a 248 game to Dunn’s 197 game, and that ,combined with the 30 bonus pins he received for the win in that game, enabled him to earn his 4th Warren Challenge title by a single pin.
Dunn, making his first finals appearance in the tournament, entered the 10th frame with an opportunity to roll two strikes for the victory. After securing the first strike, Dunn rolled what appeared to be a good shot on the second ball only to leave a stubborn 7 pin still standing. With the spare conversion Dunn finished the game 1 pin behind Harvischak.
Harvischak and Dunn both finished match play with a win-loss record of 5 wins and 3 losses.
Final standings: Harvischak in first, Dunn in second, Dean Billings in third, James Nolen in fourth, Joe Marcello in fifth, Scott Baillie in sixth, Alex Dager in seventh and Shawn Skelton in eighth.
