Sound off!

With the increasing prevalence now of food recalls, some with daunting effects, it makes one wonder why this is not happening with more frequency. Let me pose a question: Has anyone ever seen a porta-potty in the picking fields? My case rests. Scrub those vegetables and produce!

I imagine any non-billionaire, MAGA-hat-wearer who believes voting for Trump will be good for them, or for America, may have over-tightened the self tapping wood screws holding their hat in place. There may be a "Liberation Day" screw driver available on 47's merch site to help you eliminate any anti-Trump, or independent thought you may have. It only turns clockwise, which is to the right.

The national debt is $40 trillion. $13 trillion occurred under Trump. Between $2 to 3 trillion in tax cuts were given to the richest 1%, $250 million so far for his golfing, racing cars in DC, Venezuela, tariffs, the Iran war, and ICE agents are costing us billions more. So how does he pay for these additional costs? By cutting Medicaid, Medicare, educational services, diaster response etc.

There has been a massive jump in the number of parents of newborns electing not to have their babies receive the Vit K injection. This is a huge mistake and can endanger their lives. This injection helps blood clot properly and helps strengthen bones as they grow. Please consider having your babies get this injection. Please talk to your obstetrician and pediatrician for clarification.

Can someone please tell me why we aren't scanning people for weapons before they enter the fair? The incident that took place at the Democratic Party tent this past Sunday should never have happened. Thank goodness there was security to stop it. We get scanned at concerts, basketball games and other events. Why is a family- friendly fair any different? I hope someone takes a stand and looks into this. Keep everyone throughout the fairgrounds safe in the future.

If you have a problem with President Trump renaming things, just remember what the left, woke and Democrats have done: Columbus Day-Indigenous Peoples Day, Fort Bragg-Fort Liberty, Fort Benning-Fort Moore, Fort Hood-Fort Cavazos, Washington Redskins-Washington Commanders, Cleveland Indians-Cleveland Guardians, Aunt Jemima-Pearl Milling Company, Uncle Ben's-Ben's Original, Land O Lakes-removed the Indian and kept the land, felon-justice involved person, illegal alien-undocumented noncitizen, woman-birthing person; hispanic-Latin X, mother & father-gestational & non-gestational parent and mental illness-non-binary.

Hearing those whining about President Trump changing the name of a lake and the Gulf off the southern border would be comical if it weren't so hypocritical. For years this same group has been pushing, and going to court, to force name changes for sports teams, syrup, rice and butter. Make up your mind. Are name changes good or bad?

I have a great concern regarding mailing a check today, especially if it's going to a business or utility. Seems like every week there is news of check washing when mailed from our area. I was told by my mailman that all mail goes to Cleveland for processing. Do they not have cameras in place to catch these thieves?….And the postal service wonders why they lose business!!???!!!

I recently saw the movie, "Odyssey, a very intense depiction of life in ancient Greece. This movie may just be a cautionary tale. According to the movie's plot, the people in Sparta and Ithaca were violating the laws of Zeus and their world was falling into disarray. Today we're violating the laws of everyone. How is our world doing? We're not as barbaric as those portrayed in Sparta and Ithaca. But I'm not sure we're any smarter.

News this week suggests NOT to SEND CHECKS in the MAIL. Many are being intercepted and "washed" and re-written, etc. That warning comes from the police, banks and Post Office. Yet many STILL think it is a SAFE and SECURE way to do our elections. If you CAN'T send a check, how can you think of sending a ballot? "Ballot washing," anyone?

Trump's disdain for allies, narcissistic and puerile behavior are akin to a wolf rolling on its back with feet up to signal submission to the pack alpha male. Trouble is that his throat is our throat and Putin, Xi, and Un are already snarling. End the threat -- VOTE.
