High gas prices and inflation. Iran will never negotiate in good faith. Taking out Kharg Island, and bombing Tehran, if necessary, might eliminate the fanatical leaders. Only when they are gone will there be peace and will the Strait of Hormuz be open for free travel. If gas prices stay high, the Dems will win the midterms and impeach 47. Iran and their proxies will then continue their terror with nuclear enhancement.

While Trump and the Republicans have cut billions of dollars in taxes for the ultra-rich, they signed into law in July 2025 a 10% reduction of hundreds of billions of dollars in Medicaid benefits effective in late 2027. In early 2026 the Senate proposed an amendment that would have enacted deep cuts to Medicare. But the Dems stopped them. Seventy times since 2012, the GOP have tried to repeal or weaken Obamacare without success. Husted, Moreno and Rulli voted for and supported these cuts.

When are the Republicans going to decide to help Americans with food, gas, rent, everyday expenses and health insurance? Is it when few have health insurance, the sick lay dying, and more and more are homeless and maybe even 'bread lines'? Help the people! TAX the rich! Quit pandering to Trump and Miller, et al.

On a flight to Michigan on July 27, 2026, Trump told reporters: "They [Congress] should get the Save Act done. If they don't get it done, it's going to be a very bad thing for the party." He said, ". . . for the party," not for America! Wasn't it supposed to be the Save America Act? So, at least there are no more lies, misdirection, or hypocrisy about this bill being necessary to ensure free and fair elections; its purpose is to severely restrict voting rights.

Congratulations to voters who just decisively rejected the Republican attempt to overthrow the Kansas Supreme Court selection process and directly elect Supreme Court justices -- a great win for the stubbornly independent court that has protected the right to abortion and forced lawmakers to spend more on public schools, maintaining the Constitution's authority over corruption and preventing the Kansas court from becoming another branch of government defined by big money interests. Hopefully, this is a precursor to the U.S. midterms!

Poland is not losing a library; it is gaining a new library in a new location. Poland residents should start working now to purchase their current library building at fair market value when it becomes available. It's time for the "Save Your Library" committee to stop whining and demanding. Where were Rulli, Cutrona and the county commissioners when Greenford Library was shuttered a few years ago? Comments, please, from other communities. These are your tax dollars.

Donald Trump is an evil man. He constantly lies, belittles anyone who disagrees with him, is an egotistical narcissist, cheated on his wife with a porn star. He has used his presidency to enrich himself by over 2 billion dollars. He accuses others of doing what he actually does. Would you have this person as a friend? Would you hire this person to work for you? Would you want him to teach your children? And yet, millions of people support him. How can that be? I'm afraid that morally, nearly 70 million people are becoming just like Trump. God help us all.

In a 1997 Ohio State Supreme Court ruling it was stated Ohio was supposed to fix public school funding. Since then our state legislators have done everything but. Now the Vindicator editorial on Tuesday is calling Ohio legislators out and saying they must fix school busing woes. Fat chance. School funding has been the can kicked down the street for almost 20 years. There has been nothing positive for public schools in Ohio since before the Nate DeRolph case.
