Where did our parents' Democratic Party go?
DEAR EDITOR:
I have not read the paper all summer and as I return to it, I see all the same names that have been afflicted with Trump Derangement Syndrome. Trump is responsible for all things bad, and the sound off writers are worse. Do these people still believe in the Democrat Party? That party has been hijacked by the Democrat Socialists of America, and they are spreading faster than cyclospora. They currently hold more than 250 elected offices and many more are running for office in the midterms.
The DSA are against everything that America stands for. This is a well-planned and funded movement. The Chinese Communist Party, through Neville Singham, has invested more than $780 million in the DSA, and made people running for elected office under their banner sign a pledge to work with the Chinese government. The indoctrination of our children by the teachers unions, and millions of legal and illegal immigrants started 40 years ago. Dearborn, Michigan's, largest demographic is Muslims who are still loyal to their parent countries, not America.
The DSA is committed to not helping America, but changing everything about America. Throw out the Constitution, the Senate, the Supreme Court, prisons, police and ICE. End aid to Israel and take over corporations. Cut military spending, Welcome Iran and Cuba. Medicare for all at a cost of $3-4 trillion per year. The country will be run by an executive appointed by Congress. Karl Marx, who wrote The Communist Manifesto, believed that socialism and communism are not competing ideologies, but two stages of development that follow the collapse of capitalism.The state takes control of all political power and the executive will prevent the return of capitalism. Mao Zedung did the same thing in China.
The DSA wants to eliminate billionaires like Jeff Bezos, who employs 1.576 million people, or Elon Musk, who employs 160,000 people. Or the Dells who contributed $6.5 billion to Trump's fund for all children to go to college. Without capitalists creating wealth, who pays the bills? Government creates nothing.
If they no longer have the rich to tax they will tax you. They also hate the Jews, people who work extremely hard to be successful. They took a patch of sand in the Middle East and turned it into one of the greatest economies in the world. One of the rising stars in the DSA Abdul El Sayed's wife is a doctor that does not take Medicare; can we say hypocrite?
The Democrats say that the devil Trump, and his supporters, will end democracy. Look at your party, Democrats. Schumer and Jeffries are figureheads. The party is run by Bernie Sanders, AOC, Mamdani and Hasan Piker, who devoutly hates America. The DSA will end democracy and make America another failed socialist country. Be careful what you wish for, Democrats. Your party is soon to be extinct.

Kripchak is best choice for Ohio's 33rd Senate District
DEAR EDITOR:
I am truly amazed how candidates with large pockets of money have come out of the woodwork early to deliver mostly false and misleading information about their opposition candidates in order to gain momentum and an upper hand leading up to the November midterms this year.
Al Cutrona seems to take a less costly approach. All of a sudden we see him aligning himself with every cause and proposing the most superficial bills in the state Senate, which either go nowhere or have no significant impact on the health, welfare and economic gain to his constituents.
Here lies the underlying real problem. He is hog tied to the failing Republican Party worn out MAGA brand that has forgotten working-class Ohioans. He is tied to the likes of stock insider trading suspects like U.S. Rep. Mike Rulli. He is tied to the climate-killing oil and gas industry, which brought all those "bomb trains" through East Palestine. He is tied to election deniers, incompetent federal Cabinet heads, crooked DOJ. Let us not even ever forget the corruption in Ohio's Republican-run legislature that created Ohio HB 6, a legislative billion dollar buyout to failing coal and nuclear power industries while screwing Ohio ratepayers. . Al Cutrona saw no problem supporting Larry Householder as one of 21 Republicans who voted against expelling Householder from the Ohio House of Representatives after Householder was implicated and charged with taking bribes in the FirstEnergy worst fraud case in Ohio's history.. Cutrona's phony and bigoted Christian values exclude so many people. He favors stupidity in educating our youth and future leaders by limiting their access to knowledge gained through the eons of time.
This is why I am writing a letter to The Vindicator to offer that Michael Kripchak represents a worthy alternative to Cutrona to represent the citizens of Ohio's 33rd district as their senator.
Kripchak , Chaney High School valedictorian, Air Force Academy distinguished graduate, honorably discharged after completing his active duty service commitment went further to complete a master's degree in interactive telecommunications.
He now has returned to home roots to teach in the Youngstown city school system while helping his elder parents. He understands the deep ethnic roots bringing immigrants and the displaced to this Ohio stronghold of working-class and farming families who have experienced generational trauma as wealth has pulled in and out of the 33rd District. Michael speaks directly to the hopes and dreams of the people and will be able to translate these hopes into action and legislation to benefit our multi-racial and ethnic communities.
Let us hear Kripchak out. You will be impressed by his skill as a future leader of our state and country.
A vote for Kripchak is a vote ensuring a bright future for Ohio's 33rd Senate district.

'Idiots' in Congress got us to cusp of socialism
DEAR EDITOR:
Everybody wants to win the lottery. What's wrong with that? Unless you've inherited large sums of money, due to some ancestor working hard and investing wisely, you have to work for a living. And all we want to do is play, never having to grow up.
Since nobody in your family tree is wealthy, you play the lottery. And, since your odds there are miniscule, you find the philosophy of socialism appealing. Sounds good; "From each according to his ability, to each according to his need." That's the foundation of socialism. But, wait.
Winston Churchill described socialism this way: "Socialism is the philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy." -- Perth, Scotland, 28 May 1948. He also said, "The inherent vice of capitalism is the unequal sharing of blessings. The inherent virtue of socialism is the equal sharing of miseries." -- House of Commons, 22 October 1945.
And, yet, today Great Britain is a cesspool of socialism. Why? Because their LEADERS since World War II have allowed it.
Same with the United States. We now have over 80 federal welfare programs! In England, they call it, "on the dole." The percentage of the population on the dole in the United Kingdom is 22.8%. The percentage of the population on welfare in the U.S. is 21%. Not far behind, are we? Why has this happened? In my opinion, two factors. The deliberate dumbing down of our population since WWII, and selling votes with the lure of "free stuff."
We wouldn't be in this quagmire of socialism unless the Republican Party allowed it. Compromising with liberals, huge bills that nobody reads closely. Party leadership tells you how to vote, don't worry about what's in the bill. There should be fistfights on the floor of Congress, blood on the carpet, but pacifism is much easier. And party leaders will come down on anyone causing a stir.
Mark Twain said it best, "Suppose you were an idiot, and suppose you were a member of Congress; but I repeat myself." He also famously wrote, "There is no distinctly native American criminal class except Congress." Likewise, "Our lives, our liberty, and our property are never in greater danger than when Congress is in session."
So, we can only blame ourselves for putting our children on the road to full communism. They will be so happy you voted Democrat.

Vote against Boardman's 2.75-mill levy this fall
DEAR EDITOR:
It appears that I may be in the minority here, but I am encouraging my fellow Boardman Township residents to vote no on the 2.75-mill, five-year levy this November.
First, I made mention of this elsewhere previously. There is no reason that for every fender bender on Route 224, every safety service has to be called to action. Almost every day I see accidents that are quite obviously not that serious, yet there are multiple officers, ambulance and fire crews present. It costs taxpayers every time the vehicles are rolled; between maintenance, fuel and salaries; it makes no sense!
Secondly, I believe that until the township can enforce its own rules, it shouldn't be asking for more. Back in 1996, an ordinance was passed regarding curfew, which if memory serves me correctly, states no minors out past 11 p.m. Why then have multiple businesses (Target, Southern Park Mall) put up signage regarding unaccompanied minors past certain times? Yes, they are private businesses and are permitted to set their own rules, but they shouldn't have needed to if local law enforcement were effective and didn't just simply issue a slap on the wrist for violations.
Lastly, the township has failed to uphold the law all in the name of "public safety." Multiple chases have been terminated because they got "too risky." The township has failed to keep law and order, and it shows in the police blotters as we've moved from petty shoplifting to violent crimes.
Until the township can effectively take control of its streets, it needs to do more with less like the rest of us. If they can be held accountable for their action (or lack thereto) and make improvements, only then would I be willing to entertain the notion of voting for a levy.

After all the work, when does the cleanup start?
DEAR EDITOR:
I am writing this letter in response to work being done in Youngstown with water and gas lines being replaced. I was wondering after work is done, is someone responsible for planting new grass and putting in new sidewalks and also repairing the streets ?
I live on the South Side in the 7th Ward and where they dug up yards and sidewalks there are mounds of dirt on the devil strip and sidewalks were filled with gravel. I hope that they aren't going to stay like that because it is not a good look for the neighborhoods that had work done.
I'm sure some residents don't like seeing no grass and gravel sidewalks. I KNOW I DON'T!
