DEAR EDITOR:

It is said that Donald Trump is “the greatest geopolitical disaster in history.’ In my opinion he is that and more. He is a national disaster and has taken us from status as a world-class country to nothing more than a laughingstock to the rest of the world. Our allies have been lost. He has said and done things never imagined from a president of any country. His love and admiration for three of the world’s worst dictators puts Trump in their class for the degradation of humanity.

Remember that our president is a convicted felon, no matter how you spin it, he is a felon leading this country to unparalleled depths of humanity. He and Pete Hegseth, both power hungry, have committed war crimes starting with the annihilation (his word) of ‘boats’ leaving Venezuela. Maduro of Venezuela was captured and brought to the US on drug charges, though the intent was oil. Venezuelan lives were lost. An unsanctioned war in Iran; thousands of lives have been lost so far, including many children.

Trump has sent hundreds, maybe thousands, of children to an unknown fate, separated from their parents, most likely never to be joined as families ever again. He has sent thousands of immigrants to countries they weren’t from and had never lived in. He said he would only rid this country of immigrant ‘felons’ (like him), yet has sent thousands of innocent immigrants, people who only want to simply LIVE, raise their families and give their children a chance in life. Thousands of immigrants, adults and children continue to be held in detention centers. Hopefully, war trials will prevail eventually. How can we continue to tolerate this from our government? And we are watching this in real time, like a movie we are waiting for the end. Hopeful it will end. But, all of this doesn’t even include the mess he has made here of companies, universities, social services, medical science, our health, climate and more.

Now Trump was or is, depending on his whims, sending out his nightly messages of planning on destroying an entire country. An entire country! Does he say these things to really mean them or just to continue to shock us. I didn’t think we could be more shocked by what he says and yet he continues to do so, and we are. He has given his “demands” … he does like to demand … that Iran give in and do as he says. His language skills put his demand very succinctly with atrociously simply awful disgusting words, not worthy of anyone, most of all a president of a country. Diplomacy be damned. His nature of revenge will never let this go no matter their choice, because he is the way he is. He lives by revenge.
