Tired of Trump putting Americans in unnecessary danger
DEAR EDITOR:
Let’s face it … (in my eyes) Trump is a lousy, even dangerous president. I am well aware he has many followers with their own reasons for voting for him and I can respect that, but for myself I still say he is dangerous. His criticisms of anyone crossing him puts them in the crosshairs of unstable people who could do massive harm. And, there are many people willing to do his bidding.
The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court himself has come out with a statement actually naming Trump, saying that what he says has put many in danger, the federal judiciary and politicians. Many have had their families and homes threatened and have had to hire personal protection because of his rantings on his often nonsensical social media outpour, which actually seem to be nightly. ANYONE saying anything remotely critical that he perceives as negative gets the same treatment, anyone not voting his way or crossing him in any way politically receives immediate castigation and threats.
We should not have a president who puts so many in danger and one with so little regard for the safety of the people of this nation. He has used the immense powers of the presidency to attack our allies, actually now attacking us bodily with his personal use of ICE, and has put our nation at risk. Our country has become a pariah to the rest of the world.
It is not wise to criticize and alienate and then expect help with his war, and believe it … Trump and Hegseth started this war with no congressional approval, actually no one’s approval but their own “flying by the seat of their pants” approval. I am not sure they know what they are doing with this war. Losing more Americans just should not happen.
I would like a president that actually wants the best for everyone, someone with at least an ounce of compassion in his soul for mankind. He honestly doesn’t give a rip about anyone but himself, believe it. He is not a good person and is an opportunist and we are being duped. When did we begin to accept this kind of rhetoric, rash decisions and behavior as normal?
Is it too late to undo it when so many use it themselves to be like Trump thinking it acceptable? It is detestable. We are losing our kindness and humanity; then where will we be?
