DEAR EDITOR:

After spending a week away, I returned home to a week’s worth of The Vindicator. Taking in several of the political cartoons on the opinion page is truly eye opening.

Only The Vindy could bemoan the cost of the space program while Trump spends billions in a “Trumped Up” war.

I see that the Easter Bunny is a Republican. No eggs for Democrats. With the current cost of groceries nobody is getting meat with those eggs!

But the worst one is the April 1 comic that shows two frogs at a No Kings rally stating the main complaints being men in women’s sports and voter IDs. How about these complaints taken from other pages in the paper?

“Mortgage rate climbs again to 7-month high”

“Fallout from Iran war driving up home costs”

“Trump budget seeks $1.5T in defense spending alongside cuts in domestic programs”

“President intensifies Iran threat”

Let’s add to that that gasoline on my trip cost over $4 a gallon. At least I didn’t try to fly anywhere with airport security out of control!

All this from a president who ran on making life more affordable and keeping America out of foreign wars. This is a lot to endure just to keep the Epstein files off the front page and to please Trump’s Middle East friends. America First, my behind.
