DEAR EDITOR:

The aggrieved neighbors on Truesdale Road, in regard to the abandoned house at 727 Truesdale, want to thank Boardman Township and the Board of Trustees for their concern surrounding the many issues presented at the April 6 township board meeting.

The trustees are being responsive and empathetic to the situation. They are taking action to clean up the grounds and repair the hole in the roof.

Although this is a welcome first step, it does not fully solve the underlying issue of an abandoned, blighted house that appears to be uninhabitable and remains an eyesore.

We recognize and appreciate that the Boardman Township Board of Trustees, and in particular Steve Yacovone, are continuing to follow up to learn what further actions can lawfully be undertaken.

We want to extend our sincere appreciation to the trustees for hearing us and seeking ways to try to help us. We are grateful!
