DEAR EDITOR:

Perhaps we should designate California a communist state. Or, possibly, the entire Left Coast of America (Seattle has a 16-foot tall statue of Lenin). People who want communism can then move there. They can experience, first hand, just what that is. We should fund moving expenses:

No private property; everything is owned by the state, including you.

A home will be assigned to you.

A job will be assigned to you; nobody lives OFF the state, you live FOR the state.

Food choices will be limited.

Everyone receives the same per capita monthly stipend; equality.

Free public transportation, free bicycles.

Free health care.

Nobody leaves CA/OR/WA without permission; borders will be guarded. To keep you in. Others seeking the communist utopia will be allowed to enter.

Electricity and water usage will be monitored and regulated.

No private businesses. All means of production are owned and run by the state.

Criminal activity will be dealt with harshly.

You relinquish all your “rights” under the US Constitution. But, you get free government care, cradle to grave!

Every election in the Communist State will be unanimous. (Isn’t that what Democrats want?)
