Conflicting messages about Poland Library
DEAR EDITOR:
Something is amiss! In the weekend edition of The Vindicator, Feb. 14-15, a Poland Board of Education member favored the former Poland Union school be torn down to make way for condominiums, saying that wealthy Polandites would gladly buy into the idea because of the condos being so near to the Poland Library located at 311 S. Main St.
However, The Vindicator has done several stories on the Poland Library quite possibly vacating its present location. Most recently, 2-6-26, spokesperson, Jeanne Rostan, was beseeching the community for help to keep the Poland Library where it is.
I think a clarification is needed from either the Library Board, Library Director Aimee Fifarek, the Poland Board of Education member, or The Vindicator on what exactly is the location status of the Poland Library before wealthy Polandites invest their money in an obscure venture.
