Why are Mahoning Valley leaders letting MCP die?
DEAR EDITOR:
My heart hurts, and I feel so depressed about the world and all that is happening.
We have our beautiful deer being made a mockery of by the underground that runs the Mahoning Valley. We can’t do a thing; we are only the owners and taxpayers. Some politicians join our group with pretentious interest and fake caring until they win their position and move on.
Then there are the judges, even ones brought in, and attorneys who didn’t know their witnesses at a hearing. They were supposed to be sworn in when giving their accounts and truths. Yet upon completion, their stories didn’t count because they were not sworn in. What do you call all of this? I call it a sickening scheme, shame intertwined into the Mahoning Valley. You know who you are and what you did — but I need to understand why.
Then there are the nasty people who spread lies, hoping the elderly will donate, victimizing them with untruths. Commercials make our park look so fun when it isn’t. How can you put a wreath or poinsettia on death and mutilation and call it happy? How can you have yoga classes on grounds where animals were hunted down and gutted right on the grass?
All of the people who don’t want to hear it, or find it easier to believe the park people, might as well pull the triggers, pull the bows, spit on the trees, and trap and kill the little animals — even the opossums who eat millions of ticks. Our ecosystem will be totaled and gone by the time they are finished, while everyone else just looked the other way.
I’ve never seen one town work so hard to suck up to people who have turned our park into a joke, a killing field. All I see now are monetary games of deceit. This is not what Volney Rogers wanted.
I wish Mr. Young would direct our park, not commandeer it with whatever he wants. He must realize there is history to Mill Creek Park and its people. We all grew up there; it is like our home. When he was put in, he fired our professional workers who had kept the park in perfection for years. He needed them out of the way.
Lastly, the media is supposed to remain neutral and do investigative reporting. Did it? There are hidden facts that need uncovering. Expenses should be examined — what was bought and where it is. Mr. Young was never questioned on authenticity and could make up his story.
Baby the golf course if you want, but please stop killing more deer and animals. We ask in the name of God: let nature be. Let our park be.
Where are the leaders of the Mahoning Valley? I am ashamed of them.
KATHY MAINE
