Who are you? Do you identify as a Democrat from days gone by or do you identify with the new Socialists saying they are Democrats?

I have been registered as a Democrat for over 60 years, but since the Biden administration created all the problems Congress is now attempting to correct, I have been trying to choose issues-only ballots in the primaries.

If the Democratic Party leaders are not supporting socialist ideas, then why haven’t they confronted AOC, Bernie Sanders, Mamdani and others promoting socialism, and said either abide by our standards or you will no longer be a member of our party?

Our government was shut down for over a month because the Democratic members refused to support legislation to keep it open. They are being controlled by a few socialists who want to add more debt to an already overbloated budget. They were getting paid while the military, air traffic controllers, Capitol Police and low-income families relying on government support did not.

Travel by air is becoming a nightmare due to airport closures. The Democrats would have rather held out for their socialist agenda than put their constituents first by voting with the Republicans to reopen the government and then negotiate for their desires. The Republicans were voting to fund the government at a level last approved by the Biden administration.

Socialism does not work and throwing good money after bad money does not solve the problem.

I no longer want to be identified as a Democrat if this is the path the party is on.
