RFK Jr. one of Trump’s biggest mistakes
DEAR EDITOR:
47 is not a scholar. He has no knowledge of science, medicine, or infectious disease. This was apparent by his words and misconduct during the COVID-19 pandemic. He countered the advice of scientists and infection disease experts as thousands died of COVID during the early months while repeatedly denying it’s lethality and claiming that it would disappear as weather warmed. Decisions have consequences!
Yet in his second term, 47 nominated RFK Jr. to lead the HHS agency, knowing this man had an extensive history of promoting anti-vaccine conspiracies, including the MMR vaccine. Kennedy family members publicly warned politicians not to confirm this dangerous nominee. However, Republicans ignored the warning and even dismissed the facts that he was not a physician, not a scientist, and not an infectious disease expert. Apparently, these Republicans voted to confirm this unqualified, incompetent nominee to avoid 47’s wrath for any “NO” votes. Most disgusting were the confirming votes by physicians who certainly recognized the incompetence and risk but voted “YES” any way. Perhaps they forgot their oath as physicians to “do NO HARM”. After decades of measles extinction, American children in 2025 now suffer a measles outbreak, many with complications, hospitalization, and even death. The HARM is real!
Through his disinformation and ignorance, RFK Jr. has destroyed this agency, including the CDC, by firing the experienced career experts and replacing many with anti-science, anti-vaccine incompetents like himself. Others resigned, refusing to work in an environment of lies and conspiracies. Consequently, the health of every man, woman, and child is at enormous risk.
RFK Jr. must either be forced to resign or be fired. One or the other!
