Anti-Trump vitriol getting old, boring
DEAR EDITOR:
I thought The Vindicator had a limit on how many Letters to the Editor a person can get published each year. Apparently not, because I keep seeing the same authors’ names over and over again. Especially a gentleman (I use the term loosely) from Canfield. He seems to be suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome, since his submissions nearly always find a way to attack our great president, Donald J. Trump
I shake my head when I read submissions about how bad free market capitalism is, especially since the writers have made a good life in America, but now want democratic socialism for the rest of us. They would love to make us the United Socialist States of America (USSA). Their progeny, however, would have to suffer the consequences of living under USSR (Union of Soviet Socialist Republics) socialism for 50 years before they overthrow the regime. That’s how long it took for Eastern Europeans to say, “We’re tired of living under the Soviet boot.” The Soviet Union collapsed in 1991. Decades of waiting in bread lines, living in minimalist apartments the government allowed them, and having no hope of ever elevating their lives; the proletariat. But, the government (politburo) lived very well, thank you. Kind of like the series, “Hunger Games.”
It’s getting old and boring reading the same individuals’ tripe nearly every week. How about selecting some that are uplifting about America? If we’re not the greatest country in the world, then why are all people trying to get here? Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness?
