Ursuline must face its day of reckoning
DEAR EDITOR:
A young defenseless boy is kidnapped, sexually and physically assaulted. Videos of the assault are made and shared online. Threats and intimidations are made to prevent the boy from disclosing these heinous crimes against him, but he bravely comes forward to accuse his attackers. Police quickly move in to round up the gang of perverts, charges are filed, the victim testifies, and the criminals are found guilty and sentenced to prison terms. Justice is served.
But Wait . . these crimes, and they are indeed crimes, occurred under the superficial, surreal, and sacred umbrella of our Beloved High School Football programs, and under the protection of our Beloved Catholic Diocese, so it was only an INCIDENT, not a crime … handled internally … no need to publicize it … make it go away … forget it happened … boys will be boys, after all.
The Ursuline High School football season should be terminated, coaches tried, convicted and jailed, students expelled and sent to JJC, and the Catholic Diocese sued out of existence.
If anybody wonders what motivates a student to bring a weapon to school and kill students, teachers and administrators, they should wonder no more.
