DEAR EDITOR:
Say you owned a family restaurant. One day a mobster comes in and says, "It'd be a shame if your restaurant burned down one night. I can protect your investment for $500 a month, payable to me."
Trump is doing that right now by filing frivolous lawsuits for billions of dollars against CBS, ABC and the Wall Street Journal. He has no chance of winning but because he's president these huge companies pay him $10 million or more to settle. The money goes to him personally, not the U.S. government.
Why do the companies settle Trump's frivolous lawsuits and pay him personally? Because they know he can and already has used the federal government to attack his perceived "enemies."
Trump is a mobster using shakedown tactics to enrich himself. He makes Nixon and Watergate look like a street corner shell game.
