Our GOP ‘leaders’ have capitulated to Trump
DEAR EDITOR:
Our Republican state legislators Al Cutrona and Tex Fischer proudly attended a recent White House State Leadership Conference, oxymoronic considering the Trump administration only has use for obedience. The White House doesn’t need state leadership to complete a military takeover of our cities. It can’t have “leaders” getting in the way of RFK’s brainworm- or heroin-addled decisions to condemn us all to preventable illness.
As one of the elderly white hippies that the White House’s Stephen Miller shrieked about last week, my idea of a leader is someone who stands up for the people, the downtrodden and the ideals set forth in the Constitution. No leaders stood up to stop taxpayer-funded goods and services from being yanked away by DOGE. No leaders stopped huge amounts of our money going to build a masked secret police force to be used against us. Our supposed leader, Gov. Mike DeWine, hastily served up the National Guard for Trump’s fake D.C. crime emergency without a second thought.
Our current Republican officials, state and national, simply do busy work waiting for their next orders from the White House. The time for leadership was six months ago before they gave up their powers to the dictator. They have no means to lead us now.
