DEAR EDITOR:
The Vindicator has done a great service to its readers in the Mahoning Valley by publishing the Declaration of Independence on this July 4. The Vindicator brings to light the very foundation, the bedrock of our existence as a nation.
Reviewing this document and particularly the 27 points (facts) established by the founders is so profoundly eye-opening. The founders painstakingly identified the reasons to establish a government of the people, by the people and for the people.
So now, at 78 years old, I finally embrace this document as my own in every way possible. These 27 points show me we are facing the same pivotal moment as we reach near 250 years of existence.
We must seriously consider that our current national leadership is trampling on the very laws established to provide governance and stability in society. Looking closely at each of the 27 complaints shockingly parallels the reality of the current chaos and unraveling of our nation.
We the people are uniting as one to address these 27 grievances and set a course correction toward building a more perfect union.
