Revolution is coming to America

DEAR EDITOR:

Ariunzaya Khajidmaa, a Mongolian citizen, recently protested her country’s extreme corporate, political, and judicial corruption, stating “I want a fair society where ordinary people have a voice, and where government officials are held accountable. Seeing so much inequality, injustice, and arrogance from those in power pushed me to speak up…” Idealism? Certainly.

Mongolia is a quasi-democratic nation. We United States citizens also live in a quasi-democratic nation given the Electoral College. In both countries the downtrodden are beyond doubt very restless. In our country the vanishing middle class, of whom I am a member, is pissed-off (not just getting pissed off) at our country’s “…inequality, injustice, and arrogance…”, especially the arrogance of our aristocrats and oligarchs and both the most current Republican and Democratic administrations.

And as history teaches, make no doubt that our country, like Mongolia, is heading full-steam-ahead toward a revolution.

If you think not, self-educate yourself. Read books like “Collapse” by Jared Diamond. Listen to “Chasing Sharpe” by Richard Wolff, PhD in Economics with degrees from Yale and from Harvard and from Stanford.

I am an octogenarian who has voted at the national and local levels for Republicans, Democrats, and occasionally for an Independent, depending on how I perceive their platform.

What is and has been going on in Washington is sickening. And will become deadly, but hopefully not for at least one or two more generations.
