When will Trump get around to you?

DEAR EDITOR:

What makes Donald Trump so bold? He declares a tax is not a tax (tariffs), a violation of one person’s First Amendment rights is not a violation (of all our rights; it is), he “couldn’t care less” about businesses (yours) failing thanks to his tariffs. He’s bold because he’s using your money (taxes) for his misogynistic, racist, anti-science and plainly ignorant personal vengeance. He offends and betrays allies (in your name), and shreds the Constitution (the foundation of your rights) to serve himself alone. He is enabled by Congress, a clown Cabinet and a lack of directed outrage (yours) as he gets away with it. Meanwhile, his campaign promises are “met” by executive orders held aloft for cameras as laws (they’re not) for Mom to praise and post on her fridge. Not my Mom.

Face it, 47 is not the businessman he played on scripted TV. He is a convicted felon who has yet to pay judgments against him in the millions.

He is the failure who bankrupted multiple casinos, stiffed workers and left Atlantic City looking like a combat zone. He is the slash-and-burn director and patron of an unelected billionaire dismantling government agencies.

First among them are those 47 falsely alleges are enemies. He gathers sensitive information about you and your finances for his unrestrained use. And now he threatens the Federal Reserve bank because he feels it should lower rates. Such a financial genius!

If not for the millions he inherited, he might be dealing three-card-Monty, another crooked game of distraction, atop a cardboard box in Queens.

It’s time we quit being suckers for this dealer. Next and every election, if we have any, I will cast my vote to dump Trump, his do-nothing enablers and the disastrous foreign and domestic policies, and hope other citizens join in. Meanwhile, watch what he does. Unabashed by his crass incompetence, he may name you the target of his next tantrum.
