DEAR EDITOR:
Will someone please explain how Social Security works? It is not a federal agenda; it is funded by people working, paying their dues.
Each generation collects from the last generation.
With so many people retiring early -- therefore not contributing anymore -- of course the funds are dying out. The new generations do not know the concept of Social Security.
Unless they have to work and contribute, they have to realize, the next generation will have no Social Security.
