Donald Trump offers common sense
DEAR EDITOR:
Finally, common sense prevails. Thank you Pres. Trump!
Two of my pet peeves are being addressed. One is getting rid of those absurd low-water savings toilets. When we bought our house, 50 years ago, we had a normal, great, functioning toilet. Probably, 30 years later, we bought a new one. We were disappointed and upset that less water was used and often became a problem. Last year I had to get a new one and it’s worse! There’s even less water and I now have to flush it 2 or 3 times for it to do its job. So where’s the savings?
I’m waiting for the liberal democrats with their screwy logic (whatever Trump is for – they are against) to justify keeping so-called low-water saving toilets.
Another pet peeve is the useless penny. Getting rid of it is long overdue. It costs .37 cents to make a penny. In 2024, the government lost $85.3 million on producing 3.2 billion pennies. Another prime example of a waste of taxpayer money. The leftist radicals will probably take that to a leftist radical judge to “save American Democracy” and keep the valuable penny production going. It’s only an $85.3 million loss. That’s chump change for the liberals in Congress compared to other waste and fraud departments.
