Enjoying small town’s Westminster chimes
DEAR EDITOR:
Only in a small town with generous families could we enjoy the sound of Westminster chimes through the restoration of the Carillon in Poland Village’s clock tower. The Verdin Company started manufacturing cast iron bronze bells in 1842. They are found in 30 countries, iconic colleges, churches, towns and cities all over the world. Thank you Town One Streetscapes, the Peterson and Scotford families for their vision to turn a deserted gas station into the landmark Peterson Park with the amazing work of Tom Antonishak.
Throughout the Village, volunteers and donors provide the dazzling holiday lights. With help from the police and fire department, Zembower’s Polar Express safely flew Santa’s sleigh through Poland to the delight of everyone. Happy holidays
