To Boardman, who knows who and how Jesus would vote: That’s quite the super power you have. But seriously, God’s in control, the country will survive and in four years we get to do it all over again. Yay.

Now that 45 has actually won a second election, he qualifies to experience first hand and for the second time something very few have experienced, not even himself. A peaceful and orderly transfer of power. What could go wrong?

The Democrat Party chairman in Mahoning County blames the exit of “‘young talent”‘ that leaves the state is a reason for the shellacking taken by the Dems. Said it was Republican policies that drove people out of Ohio. What? What policies would that be, Chris? He further said: “‘it’s very easy to get everyone to agree with you when those that disagree move out of state”‘.Really? That’s your analysis, Chris? No wonder there was a red wave.

Now that we’re going to have four more years of Donald Trump and his pals, one can only hope he keeps even a few of his multitude of promises. Our environment is at stake. His mantra of”‘ Drill Baby, Drill! “‘Is just a taste of what’s planned. But he also said he’s going to make the U S. have the cleanest air and water in the world, remove chemicals from our food, and make life perfect!!. Time will tell.

Why did Trump win the election? Because MAGA stayed and 5 to 10 percent of the voters believed that their buying power during Trumps pre-covid years was better than Bidens post covid years and they are right. They forgot that Obama left a well-running economy as Biden has just done. And they don’t believe that he will do all the bad things the Dems have said, or it won’t affect them. I say listen to what Trump says but more importantly watch what he does.

There was a much easier road for Donald Trump to travel in his quest to return to the White House. This road was not riddled with distrust in the same election process that put him there both in 2016 and 2024. Instead of acceptance, he chose to foment chaos. The only thing sadder is the number of people who condoned it. As famed attorney Gerry Spence wrote, “‘If goslings listen to the whining of the fox long enough, they come to believe that the fox is their mother.”‘

If President Biden really wants to see a peaceful transfer of power and reunite our great country, when he pardons Hunter Biden and others, he should also pardon President Elect Donald Trump. This will allow our new President to work without distractions as he returns the USA to more normalcy.

OK, Trump is our next President. I have a laundry list of reasons why I am disappointed. He has a list of things he said he will do beginning day one. Some I agree with. I find “Project 2025” very disturbing. I pray he doesn’t end our Democracy. Let’s try and support the positive.

Jesus would not have voted for an amoral, orange-faced, convicted felon, liar and cheat for the president of the United States, and, by the way, who also admires murderous dictators like Hitler and Putin, among others. And, Jesus would have voted for our state issue one which would have made voting more fair and balanced for all.

Now that the election is over, we can make changes to elect more centered politicians. As Manchin and Portman suggested, we need to prevent gerrymandering and replace the two-party primaries with one primary. We need to use ranked choice voting to select the top two vote-getters who will meet in the general election. Additionally, we need to cap the amount that can be spent on a campaign at an equal amount for each candidate so that the best idea wins and not the deepest pockets. Also, we need a law to kill Citizens United since Corporations are not people. And we need to limit campaigning to three months before elections. Finally, we should be able to sue politicians for blatant lies.

How long is the Vindicator going to keep printing the sensationalized and false letters from the deer people? When will they be held accountable for the blatant lies they write that make it appear as if Aaron Young and the Park Board are a bunch of monsters? The writers are obviously uneducated on the well being of wild animals and their effect on the environment. Deer are not pets! The park is doing the right thing to “Save the Deer”.

Saw on the news that wild turkeys are back in Ohio after being extinct. They better stay away from Mill Creek Park if they want to survive!!!

I see Boardman had over 400 ambulance calls handled by Lane and 271 unavalable. Actually a commendable record. Why Not Boardman FUND 2 Units dedicated to Bdm allowing Lane to ADD 2 new units to its current working units, addressing that shortfall. Far less cost and can be done quickly.

I just read an article by Froma Harrop about a President Trump plan that would bankrupt Social Security in six years. Bull. One, the U.S. Treasury owes Social Security billions. Two, the nonpartisan Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget should be real about the billions for school loans forgiven, or the billions spent on housing, medical and feeding illegals all 12 million who have been spread throughout the country on our dime. I am against the flagrant waste of taxpayer money!

Congratulations to the mayor of Hubbard on getting a new grocery store to replace Save A Lot. I’ve never seen you on TV before peacocking like this joker mayor in Youngstown! We the people have howled to the moon for a new grocery store yet these inept leaders refused to listen to us, but hey at least you Mr. Mayor have the people of Hubbard in mind to get a new store for them! Can’t wait for it to open!

Kudos to the artist of the editorial page’s Oct. 28 political cartoon, which reflects the view of the unrealistic phobia rampant among deranged Democrats.

Americans of many different ethnicities helped win World War I and stormed the beaches at Normandy to win World War II. This included Puerto Ricans who enlist at a higher rate than many other Americans. They have been citizens since the Spanish-American War in 1898. They do not come from a garbage island and live in most if not all 50 states. We need a president who will treat everyone fairly not someone who puts people down or who will tear us apart. Remember we all do better when we all do better.

The birthplace of the Christian, Islamic and Jewish faiths has always been a war zone. How do we become societies that destroy beauty? No child is born filled with hate, so how is it learned? It isn’t atheists or woke ideology that has us headed toward darker ages. How can we wage constant war and still believe we are peaceful? In a world where it’s said that belief in God and Christianity are of supreme importance, it appears they have little standing.

I’m appalled the Tribune Chronicle would print a Sound Off! letter suggesting retribution for those with Harris signs in their yard. It is a very dangerous business to be making lists of those who don’t share our political views. Reminiscent of Nazi Germany when people reported their neighbors to the government; often with dire consequences. Shame on the Trib! You should know better.
