DEAR EDITOR:

I find it very interesting to see that a candidate for Mahoning County prosecutor has raised money from outside of Mahoning County for her campaign. The money has come mainly from Rick Fryda from Columbiana County and Julie Vrable of Lisbon.

The Republican Party loves to claim they don’t like “dark money” influencing politics in “their” locations, but do it when they can.

Fryda’s Compco Industries also lies in Columbiana County. So it is OK for Republicans to financially influence here in Mahoning County?

I will always support a county prosecutor who wants to put criminals behind bars. County Prosecutor Gina DeGenova has come up with a number of innovative programs and services to protect Mahoning County residents from the bad element.

Gina DeGenova has proven she is a prosecutor for Mahoning County residents. I would always want her on my side!
