DEAR EDITOR:

This is in response to Steve Solak’s letter published in the Sept. 17 Vindicator.

He was criticizing Cal Thomas for what he said in his column about global warming. The letter writer said Thomas should be evicted from the newspaper or moved to the comics page.

I’m not defending what Thomas said about global warming, but most of the other things he said are true — like when he said freedom of speech doesn’t apply to gay rights. Or when he talks about the moral decline in our country. Or when he speaks against schools teaching children about sexual and gender identity.

The things I have read in his column aren’t any more ignorant than some of the things I’ve read in Froma Harrop, Jamie Stiehm or Robert Reich’s columns. Maybe they should be evicted from the newspaper or put in the comics section. Especially Robert Reich. Rush Limbaugh used to pronounce his name as the Third Reich.
