DEAR EDITOR:

Aug. 15 was the anniversary of the botched pullout from Afghanistan, where 13 service members were killed. Our current president decided he knew more than the joint chiefs of staff, overruling their idea of slow-controlled pullout and maintaining Bahgram air force base with $90 billion of military equipment. But he knew better, disrespected the military and did it his way. The Taliban was instantly $90 billion richer.

Today, we have Hawaii, one of the 50 states in serious trouble. Maui is almost destroyed. When asked about it, Biden said, “No comment.” Did he even know it happened? Now they offered $700 per family assistance; that is $1.9 million. They have nothing, not even a bank to cash the check. Ukraine has received $140 billion to date. Seriously?

Biden recently stated he cut national debt by $1.7 trillion; truth is it was raised by $5 trillion — $6.7 trillion from the truth. That’s why Standard and Poors downgraded the U.S. credit rating for the second time in history. Now interest rates have gone up on everything. Even CNN reported the average American is spending $709 a month more than two years ago.

Biden does understand economics — he bought $14 million in real estate while making $200,000 a year. Maybe the $21 million the Bidens earned helped with that.

While he is systematically destroying everything we know or worked for, he also is trying to crush his rival. Trump now is indicted for the fourth time by the Department of Justice and Democrat prosecutors, some who previously vowed to destroy Trump. Is this justice?

Trump is rising in the polls because people see what’s happening. In 2020, Trump fought the Democrat Party, national media and social media, and lost. But he came back.

Now, enter the deep state. That is anyone benefiting financially from federal government; some have become very rich. The deep state is Democrat and Republican; it is all about the money. Trump is a threat to them. Remember “drain the swamp?”

Trump came back so they now will destroy him. He already spent $20 million on legal fees; all of his trials are during campaign season.

Trump acts like a spoiled child throwing tantrums and insulting everyone in his path. His constant bragging makes me change the channel when he speaks. But when he isn’t bragging about himself, he is talking about American values and an economy good for all Americans.

The choice is clear. A pathological liar that lies about almost everything he says and is destroying our way of life, or a man that lies about himself that will actually improve our way of life.

The choice is easy.
