DEAR EDITOR:

Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, brothers, sisters or friends — if you know anyone who is doing drugs or playing with guns and running the streets, grab them by the collar and get them to church.

They need to stop these ugly sins and get right with the Lord.

We cannot let our cities turn into Chicago, where people fear to walk the streets.

Once they pull that trigger, it is final and sometimes, fatal.

Maybe the city should open up some shooting ranges so they can play with their guns. Firing a gun can be fun if done safely and within a legal area. Use the federal CARES Act money towards something that will interest these people and get them off the streets. This idea might encourage other cities to follow.

Don’t let our young people’s vision die. Help them to see that good and bright features come only with faith.
