DEAR EDITOR:
This is regarding your Jan. 12 editorial titled "Impeachment will only add to polarization." I strongly disagree with your opinion, which basically states we should forget about the deliberate attack on our country and our democracy Jan. 6 in Washington, D.C., by what I describe as a bunch of terrorists.
Congress was attacked by a group of domestic enemies. Those responsible must be held accountable. Everybody includes the president, his son and his attorney.
To attack our congressman, Tim Ryan, is disgusting and wrong. Trying to coerce him into ignoring this attack on our government by voting to give those that incited this riot a free pass is wrong. Period.
Ryan will vote his own way and will do the right thing. He doesn't need you, Nancy Pelosi or anyone else. He always has demonstrated ability to do the right thing for us, and I thank God for that.
Why don't you read the political columns by Eric Erickson and Kathleen Parker, published right beside the Jan. 12 editorial. They both seemed to understand the real gravity of the situation facing our country, and that is to destroy our democracy by someone who thinks he is a dictator.
