DEAR EDITOR:

I watched the 13th District Congressional debate the other night, involving Christina Hagan and Tim Ryan. I wasn’t sure what to expect from Hagan, being a first-time candidate in a congressional race. Simply put, I was extremely impressed. She had a solid grasp of the issues and was fearless in holding Ryan accountable for his liberal record in Washington.

Ryan, on the other hand, looked rattled and defensive during the entire debate. He obviously isn’t used to having a legitimate opponent in an election. He came across as though he “owns” the congressional seat and should win re-election by default. That is not how it works.

Hagan clearly supports our brave law enforcement officers, who put their lives on the line for our safety and freedom. To me, that is the most important issue in this coming election. That’s why I’m voting for Christina Hagan in Congressional District 13.
