Sometimes the wheat comes out with weeds

1 min read

DEAR EDITOR:

The immigrants whose businesses were burnt down were greatly hurt that the Democrats in office didn't protect them.

Do the young people protesting know about the "parable of the weeds"? The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. To make my point, I'm going to call the good seed "democracy."

The young protesters are trying to "pull out the weeds" by pulling down statues of Columbus and Abraham Lincoln, but by pulling out the weeds, they're also pulling out the good wheat of democracy.

The wisdom of the immigrants could teach the young about their flight from communism. At first, they thought socialism was very good, but they quickly found out socialism is the same as communism. They couldn't just leave their fallen country. The lucky ones got out and fled to America.
